It's a great place to visit and live in.

The San Francisco Giants have AT&T Park which is plenty fantastic.
I just want to say to all of them that I just went to the beach. In winter. On a Tuesday. In shorts.

Oops, can't believe I forgot that one! My dad's been there, he loved it. It sure seems fantastic, from what I've seen. A hell of a sight better than that shithole Candlestick Park!
Is there a BART station anywhere near AT&T Park? How easy is it to get there?

I spent three of the coldest hours of my life in Candlestick - and keep in mind that I live in the Midwest now!
where I really want to go is Angel Stadium. Go Angels!![]()
I can recall a number of years when Big Bear was still open for skiing as late as the 4th of July weekend. Pretty much anything you could want was within a few hours drive.I just want to say to all of them that I just went to the beach. In winter. On a Tuesday. In shorts.

Raiders and 49ers sharing a stadium?!No.
The fans would never buy it, and that includes this Raider fan.
BTW, don't call it that.![]()

Oy. If somebody who's been through Midwest winters (side note: I'm from Omaha. Where do you live now?) thinks the Stick was cold...it musta been.
The main problem I can see is the layout. The Stick just looks like an ugly piece of crap! The problem of course is that it's being used for football, which it was never originally meant for. (For those not in the know: Candlestick Park was built as a baseball-only park, for the SF Giants. Then when the 49ers moved in, it was expanded for football use, resulting in the ass-ugly configuration it now has.)
I hope the 49ers can get their new stadium built. They surely need it. Perhaps the Raiders can share a new stadium with them, just like the NY Jets/Giants out east. Why would they do this, you may ask? Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum is another ugly multipurpose monstrosity (especially after 'Mount Davis' was built).

Yeah, I'd love to see the Big A. As it is NOW, of course. Did you see the link I posted, about how ugly it looked when the Rams were playing there?![]()

If the team makes it sufficiently clear they need and want a new stadium, then the fans will come around. And the Raiders probably want a new place just as much as the 49ers are clamoring to get the hell out of the Stick. (I'm just guessing you've been to the Coliseum a few times. You really think that's a decent place to play? Why do you think the A's want out?)
Don't call what, what?BTW, don't call it that.![]()

I actually love the Coliseum. Mostly because it's symmetrical. I know that doesn't seem like a big deal, but for some reason it is to me. I have watched baseball in non-symmetrical stadiums and it just felt weird. The whole game I felt like the angles were off, like something was amiss. I kept looking around me in dismay. No I am not kidding! It just wasn't feeling right.
