^ In the end, I don't think ENT needed them. Sure if something had grown organically out of the dialogue, because it keeps getting reused... that would've been fine. Scott probably said that when interviewed, expecting "Let's Go" to show up again... like "Oh boy" or something...
The show had some differences that set it apart. Refering to the ship as simply Enterprise, (hardly ever as the starship and always without the in front) in the way NASA call shuttles just Atlantis or Endeavor. More contemporary, grounded in reality speak between crew members. There's other stuff too, like Engineering teams seen welding corridors back together... which the Abramsverse practically stole and used on the first trailer and opening scenes aboard the Kelvin.

"Where is it? It was right here."
