Big Brother 23

Sarah Beth "I think I'll target Derek X cause he's smarter than me."
Derek X "Hey, do you think maybe Xavier, Tiffany, Kyland, Derek F, Asa and Hannah are all working together?"
Audience "Yup."

Exactly! GoodgriefJFCOASB, how can they not have noticed that every single person evicted so far is white? Is it just that up to now there have been so few non-white houseguests each year that they just didn't have the numbers to form an alliance and make it last this long, so the idea it could happen just never occurred to the non-black houseguests? Did the producers test everyone for obliviousness and cast the ones who scored highest?

Even if Claire gets vetoed, at this point SB will probably go after DX. It's amazing how oblivious Sarah Beth and Alyssa still are. At least DX and Claire are kinda starting to catch on.
Well, at least Tiffany might be the first to break ranks. She's stated more than once that she wants to keep Claire in the game and it's obvious that she dislikes Derek F.

It's moot about him this week, though, since Alyssa was dumb enough to take Derek F. off the block.

But the Stupidity Prize for last night goes to Sarah Beth, who happily babbled her entire game plan to Kyland, who promptly repeated it to the Cookout.

So I change my mind. I do not want Sarah Beth to win.

Spoiler tag just because I'm not sure everyone has seen it.

It sucks to see Derek X gone, but I have a feeling he's the most likely out of everyone to get invited back again in a later season.

This week couldn't have gone better for the Cookout. I looked up on Wikipedia and unless there's another source of BB bucks unknown so far, only Derek F and Hannah have any shot at affording the Coin. So it seems inevitable yet another non-cookout goes out next.

Coming up on the time in the show we usually see Zingbot.

I hope you're right about the first point.

When did everyone start calling Hannah "Chaddah?" WTF?

Oh, and when it's Sarah Beth's time to get evicted, I hope she never sees it coming. Good grief, what an IDIOT.

(Final 7 is the Cookout + Sarah Beth)

Sarah Beth "I think I'm in a good place right now, I don't think anyone is targeting me."

I think Sarah Beth is going to be voted out, and good riddance. I cannot believe how stupid she is.

And I hope Tiffany is aware of what a SOB Derek F. really is.

Claire? She bought herself maybe an extra week. I'm sure Tiffany will find out who won the Coin of Destiny and will be grateful for a few days. But FFS, why are the non-Cookout houseguests so fucking STUPID?

I do think there’s an element of not wanting to make that accusation on national TV and risk being wrong. After what happened in real life with the actual racists in season 15.

I thought it was pretty baller that Tiffany was so confident in her ability to control Claire that she gifted her HoH for the sole reason of taking her out of next week’s HoH competition.

Things are looking good for Xavier, Kyland and Hannah now since it’s so obvious when it’s down to 6, Tiffany and DF will focus on each other.

I don't see why they would think they might be wrong. All they need to do is look at the memory wall and do the math. Derek X. did, and he figured it out - too late to save himself, unfortunately.

The stroke of genius in the Cookout was to insulate themselves with a non-Cookout partner and also be willing to go up on the block to sit next to that partner when they are going to be evicted.

The big problem is going to be next year when all the POC's are voted out early because of this.

Yeah, I thought about that too. If they go back to only having one or two it probably won't be an issue but if they have several again they'll be assumed to be working together.

SB cannot leave quickly enough. She was promoted as the quirky houseguest and usually I don't have a problem getting behind them. She knows she's burned her goodwill with fans because she never got the BB bucks and now she is trying to cry and wallow.

I wonder when Claire is going to look around and realize that she's the only white person left and the rest have been kicked out? (I assume that Sarah Beth will be booted tomorrow)

After next week the Cookout will eat itself. So... I'll ask again:

Top 3 and prediction of the winner?

I predict that the final 3 will include Tiffany and Xavier. The third, I'm hoping, will not be Derek F. He's disgusting.

Winner? Between Tiffany and Xavier, I don't know. It seems too close to call yet.

Basically whomever wins the Xavier/Tiffany battle is going to win the game. Derek and Azah simply don't have the game resume. Kyland has burned all of his bridges this week with the Sarah Beth stuff, even with people outside of the Cookout. Hannah may win on a protest vote, probably against Tiffany.

The key will be to show how they contributed to the game and to the Cookout, without taking too much credit for it. If Tiffany is in jury, I feel she will be outraged if someone tries to claim a lot of the credit for the alliance. Xavier made have made the best game move in taking the nominee punishment. He can claim he survived it whereas none of them have that.

I'd be fine with either Xavier or Tiffany winning, then Hannah and then the rest.

Good grief, Sarah Beth! Clueless to the end.

No, dear, they did not kick you out because they considered you a threat. They kicked you out because you were A) Annoying as hell; and B) White.

And nobody from the non-Cookout has figured out the entire thing YET. How clueless can people be?

Though it seems Alyssa is starting to get a clue. Or maybe they've figured out more, but are just talking around it?

Kyland has been dropping hints lately in his goodbye messages...

Derek F. is loathsome.

Anyone notice how some of the houseguests seem to do their Diary Room musings out in the open, just talking to themselves (and the cameras)? How does production know someone won't walk in on that?

And speaking of production, I hope they were about to step in if the kitchen fire hadn't been handled quickly.

I'm getting tired of Derek's bitching about the comps. I'm 6 foot tall, 260 something pounds. I know that I'm not going to win some of these competitions, but he is incessantly whining.

This end game is going to be nasty, especially if Tiffany tries to hold onto Claire after everyone else lost their partner. It may be a moot point because the men of the Cookout might try to get rid of her in the back half of the double eviction part one.

Has Derek F. ever managed an intelligible "I vote to evict _____"? I don't think so. He stumbles through it every single time.

The outrage they have that Alyssa pointed out that Claire is the last white person left is misplaced. Why should Alyssa be loyal to an alliance she didn't even know existed and wasn't even considered for, simply because she isn't black?

Julie "This is going to come down to the Cookout vs Alyssa!"
(Five seconds later)
Julie "Oh, sorry Alyssa, you've been eliminated from the competition."

Derek F's been a jerk sometimes but I don't the extreme reaction to him. The one time he acted annoyingly was semi-justified, when Tiffany was being secretive and not listening to her team mates.

I don't think they're angry at Alyssa so much as they see it as a threat to their alliance. They know that if they realize what's going on, they'll fight harder for comps. At this point the only thing that can stop them from reaching their dream.

I looked up spoilers on Wikipedia. Since it hasn't aired yet, I will of course spoiler tag.

Tiffany won HoH and nominated Alyssa and Xavier. Very interesting there because it leaves the risk that if Claire does figure it out, AND wins the veto a black person will finally go home.

I like that spoiler.

Here's hoping Claire figures things out, or Kyland finally breaks and tells her outright. He seems to want the others to know.

I've been thinking about Kyland's motive for strongly hinting about the Cookout in his goodbye messages, and I think he's hoping for jury votes on the basis of "Kyland is the only one who tried to tell me wtf was actually going on."

But of course if he outright said it, that could backfire, as he was complicit in that alliance for so long without giving any clues at all. It was only when Sarah Beth was in the crosshairs and he realized he was as well that he started dropping hints that the non-Cookout people should have figured out by now (long before now).

Derek F. has been obnoxious on numerous occasions. He needs to go. I can't imagine in what universe he actually deserves to win this, because he hasn't ever thought that his actions would matter - he figured he would have a free ride to the final six, and then to the final three, because of course he wouldn't want a woman to have a chance.

I have come to the conclusion that if the women don't form a women's alliance NOW, they're idiots (5 women, 3 men; do the math, ladies). Yes, it would short-circuit the Cookout's grand plan, but that looks in danger of imploding anyway this week, with the double eviction and Tiffany's determination to keep Claire safe. All the men are furious with her, and the women working together is the only sensible solution.

Forming a women's alliance would enable them to get rid of the men (barring one of them winning HoH or PoV), and there are still 3 black women to 2 non-black women so there would still be a black person winning, which was the whole point of the Cookout in the first place.

If Tiffany doesn't win this game, I will be disappointed. It's not that I like her per se; she can be godawful annoying at times. But she's played one hell of a strategic game so far.

I think Tiffany ruined her game this week. She's made herself most of the Cookout's 6th place target as well as probably lost all the Cookout votes for final two.

I don't get why Xavier is even considering vetoing Alyssa instead of himself if he wins just to mess with Tiffany. That's gambling on Tiffany actually being willing to nominate Claire. If she replaces her with anyone else, it's Xavier that's gone, and he has to know that.

I'm gaining more respect for Azah's game as the game goes on. Whereas at the start it seemed like she was riding coattails, now it seems she's managed her relationships with everyone really well. Her and Hannah are the ones nobody is even thinking of targeting first.

I'm starting to loathe Azah. All that snark over the dress... and Alyssa, hello! What made her think that a dress owned by a tall, extremely skinny woman would fit a shorter, heavier woman (not that Alyssa is in any way large, but she's not skin and bones like Azah is).

I don't think it's reasonable to expect the Cookout members not to have their own endgames in mind. Derek F. doesn't give a damn about anyone but himself; he certainly doesn't want any woman to win.

Tiffany has her eye on the money as well, and as much as I prefer Claire to Alyssa, she should have heeded Alyssa and put up Claire. That would have ensured that Claire got to play in the Veto competition and Tiffany could always have changed her mind and backdoored someone else.
