Big Brother 23

Thank you. I had a more detailed OP in mind for Survivor, and some very definite views of last night's premiere, and was shocked to see that you'd started a new thread literally 5 minutes after posting in this one. I didn't see these posts until 3 hours later.

If it's okay, I could have a new OP up after Big Brother tonight (it ends at 11 pm Mountain time; not sure what that is for you).

There's a practical reason for going season by season, as well. We use these threads for about 3 months/year. Some mods get antsy if people bump threads older than 6 months, and if we ever get new people in the discussion, they might start quoting some really old posts, thinking they're current, and that tends to cause confusion.

I made a post in the suggestions thread asking to lock the other thread.

In case anyone hasn't seen it yet.

It's amazing, out of all the people who got voted out this season, Kyland is the *first* to be a baby about it. I lost a lot of respect for him there.

Okay, I have to correct myself. Last night's episode was only 1 hour, and there are 3 more episodes to come: Friday, Sunday, and Wednesday.

Yikes, what an unpleasant episode. I don't like any of the people left, although of the three, the only one who actually deserves to win is Xavier.

Derek F., Azah, STFU. BOTH of you were basically carried by the rest of your alliance.

I hope Derek X gets chosen as "America's Favorite."

Okay, tonight was the clip show. If anything, it has cemented my loathing of Azah and Derek F. and hasn't improved my opinion of Xavier at all.

That clip show really needs to go. We all know the editing needs to be better from day one of the season, but the end of the season has always been a mess. I will never understand why a show that has live feeds feels the needs to try and fool people into what is actually happening in the house. That may have floated in the early years, but there are websites that relay every minute of what goes on in that house.

When speaking simply about the end of the season, it needs to end before Survivor and other shows come back. It becomes an afterthought. The clip show needs to be replaced with parts one and two of the HOH comp and possibly some jury discussion. The penultimate episode can have the jury round table in some length and whatever talk you want to include from the house. The finale should be quick to get through the third part of the HOH, do the vote. If you want to end on the vote, have the cast and Julie set up in the backyard or something and then reveal the final vote. I hate having the final two sitting in the house with the others outside. Use that time to really hash stuff out.

Agreed. Or show us the fun stuff as it happens, and not stuffed into a clip show that lacks context and features people we may have forgotten by that time.

The show used to be fun like that. It's not anymore. There definitely needs to be more jury stuff shown. Survivor has separate Ponderosa features on YT, so why can't Big Brother do something similar?

The last two episodes seemed completely unnecessary. They’re really milking the end.

Xavier and Tiffany are the only two players with any claim to deserving to win.

Well, tonight is part 1 of the final competition. Then Wednesday is the finale. Good riddance to all of them. I hope Derek X is chosen as "America's favorite."

I'm just watching in awe here, wondering what the freaking hell Azah and Derek F are thinking that they are actually both leaning toward taking Xavier if they win. Do they really not see that Xavier owns the jury?! Derek has gone full delusion playing the opposite of the good social game he claims.

I'm looking forward to seeing their speeches, trying to see the jury contain their laughter if Derek or Azah explain why they played great games.

Well, the best player won.

This season feels like the ending happened when we got to final 6. The Cookout won and everything after was boring.

But it's good that the objectively best player won. He's just an all around awesome person.

Awesome? Debatable. But certainly the best of the lot after Tiffany's eviction.

Derek F. needs to go home and work on his delusions of being a decent person, never mind one with a "fantastic social game".

It is true that Azah was carried, though. She's a bit deluded, too. She never had a chance, though she might have if the last 5 women had stuck together and voted out the men. A black woman still would have won, as the Cookout members would still have had the numbers.

Derek F has apparently been on Twitter continuing to be delusional. Luckily, he'll probably end up on some MTV reality show or something else I don't watch.

Xavier played a good social game while remaining somewhat under the radar until the Cookout reached final six.

He still thinks he played a great social game and he's god's gift to everyone?

He's creepy, and every time he says he "loves" somebody, all that's necessary to know he's lying is to think back to his diary room scenes.

Azah's delusional, too. They really deserve each other.
