BEETLEJUICE, BEETLEJUICE (2024)

That looks great. I'm curious what happened to the Maitlands, since we haven't gotten any sign that Alec Baldwin & Gina Davis are in this.

Geena Davis has already confirmed she's not in it.
Oh OK, I didn't realize anybody had talked to them about it.
I was looking on the movie's page on Wikipedia and it said the Deetzs are coming back to house from the first movie, so maybe the Maitlands just moved on when they left.

The more I'm seeing this, the better it's looking and the more excited I'm getting. It's looking like Burton, Keaton, Ryder, and co. might have actually managed to pull off giving us the kind of sequel the original deserves.

Just had the chance to watch this interview and it sounds like they had a lot of fun, but I'm especially glad Keaton enjoyed himself. As he said, for the longest time, both him and Burton simply said "Just leave it alone." I'm so glad they've waited until they had something worthy to tell and I can't wait to watch it.

...which reminds me, I still need to do my long overdue rewatch of the original.

Can Burton finally break his long list of crap movies? I sure hope so. Gough and Millar on script can be a real toss-up, so if the movie is good it really beat the odds. ;)
