Yeah, I was thinking of doing a Star Wars marathon, but then I decided on LOTR instead. I think it's partially due to the sheer length of all the LOTR (EE) movies.Posted by Blade Runner:
I like the idea of a Rings marathon BigFoot. I may copy you on that... or have a Star Wars marathon.![]()

Basically, I will be doing absolutely nothing. I don't have any real family, and no friends close enough to ask me to do anything. So I will probably spend it at home, pretending it's not happening and wishing the whole damn thing was overwith already.

I used to feel young when I moderated TOS. I was 23 and the people I was warning were 43. Here I feel old.
It must be cool to have your birthday on New Year's.
Enjoy 21, it's a good age. You're an adult but still without as many of the responsibilities or expectations. 26, OTOH...

Damn. I'm sorry to hear that.
Half my family is in Iran and the other half pretends I don't exist probably because of being Iranian. Some members of the family had seen me when I was a baby and then next time at my mother's wake when I was 18, so they didn't even recognize me and I certainly didn't recognize them.
But I have my father, my brother, and that's it for family. Sometimes my grandmother and uncle visit from Iran.
There are times I get asked if my family celebrates Christmas. I don't know if I do celebrate "Christmas" but I don't have a problem in celebrating a day where people are kind to each other... even though it's too bad only one day out of 365 can be set for it.
