Ash vs Evil Dead (new tv series)

Considering tie-in merchandise, I think it would be a lost opportunity if Rubie or another costume company does not release a "stump mounted" Evil Dead chainsaw prop. I saw a YouTube video where a member of Channel awesome (The Nostalgia critic's page) modified an electronic chainsaw prop marketed as "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" into Ash's absurdly iconic weapon. It had a chip board an a speaker to produce a chainsaw sound and a little DC motor to "slowly" feed a chain. when he opened the case, he discovered it was mostly hollow, plenty of room to position his fist to grip a dowel. He opened a hole for his hand and tapered the back end of the top to look a bit more like the prop. After a few more cosmetic touches, he painted the originally yellow prop a deep crimson and then "soiled" it with painted "grime" and "blood".

If Rubie was smart, it could do the same on a professional level, making a new housing into which a hand can be inserted but reusing the "...Massacre" components to save costs.

Looks like Linda is officially joining the Ghostbeaters. Too bad about Lacey though.

Ash really had me fooled into thinking that he was under Baal's control.

Pablo, you were awesome! I'll miss you.

From what I've heard the trailer for the ninth episode has some heavy spoilers. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but watch at your own risk.

Man, that was some episode. I would be sad to see Pablo go, but I don't believe that he's truly dead, Pablo is the Necronomicon now, so a little thing like getting sliced in half shouldn't be a big deal, right? Right?! I hope I'm right; Pablo adds so much to the team dynamic and I'd hate to lose that. Sigh, it's going to be a long two weeks until the next episode.

I really hope they find a way to bring him back. Too many characters I've liked have either died or left in the last couple months.

Oh, man, this better be a fake out. This is Fisher all over again. :(

And so much for Lacey sticking around. How much longer before Linda gets chopped up, too?

At least we got some good advice in this episode: "Always bring a gun to a puppet fight." :rommie:

And it's been driving me crazy, but I think I just figured it out. I think that guy who plays Baal also played the evil clown guy in Cleopatra 2525.

IMDB backs that up. Haven't watched that in ages but he seems super familiar to me as well, maybe that's why.

I just checked IMDB and Ray Santiago is in the same number of episodes as the rest of the main cast, so I'm very sure the gang will find a way to bring Pablo back.

It wouldn't be the same without him, and hey, they have killer-muppets, so getting two halves of a guy back together shouldn't be that hard to explain away...

And it makes sense, because Cleopatra 2525 was from the same producers.

That's encouraging. I would really be unhappy if he's really dead.

Amanda Fisher died in the eighth episode of the first season and she was in all 10 episodes too.

I'm of two minds concerning his "death." On one hand he's a main character and I'd hate to see him go since we've been with him for so long. But on the other hand, I don't think he should be immune cause he's a main character, it gets kind of boring when the same group of people keep surviving (Scream 4).

Saying that though, I don't believe he's dead.

The movies were solo-Ash and fun but the show showed how much fun it is as an ensemble, Pablo, Kelly(:adore:) and Ruby do add so much, I probably could accept Pablo's end but I don't want to...

^^ Hmm. I'm not sure how to take Ray Santiago's tweet. He may be winking at us.

I'm actually pretty fine with main characters being immune. I'm tired of being "shocked" by the death of characters I like.

The initial instinct I got from his tweet is that we're going to get a flash into Hell, where he's "hanging around." That's about the only way to really step things up now; having Ash and company actually go INTO Hell, seeing as how that's pretty much the only way they can get the Necronomicon now that Pablo's dead.
