New show being made by Syfy based off of Image Comic series that was created by writer Tim Seeley and artist Mike Norton. The comic series was 47 issues, which meant it actually got a beginning a middle and an end.

"In a rural Wisconsin town, the sudden resurrection of the recently deceased becomes known as "Revival Day". The newly revived maintain their appearance, memories, and personalities from their previous lives. While the town's residents grapple with the miraculous event, local police officer Dana Cypress investigates a murder mystery where everyone, including both the living and the undead, are suspects."

This show was actually made close to where I live, I know some of the people featured in it.

Melanie Scrofano from Wynonna Earp is the lead character, in fact the entire cast is Canadian except for CM Punk.

Anyone ready for this? I was scared it would be a really late in the game attempt to copy Walking Dead but once I researched it I realized that wasn't the case.

I've seen some commercials for it, and have watched the trailer online. I might check out the premiere, but at this stage am otherwise ambivalent about it.

And Strange New Worlds as Captain Batel. :)
And McMurray's wife from Letterkenny

Anyone watch episode 2? I'm enjoying that they're trying to explore different notions of how this "healing factor" works. Like making a former addict be unable to get high anymore, so they have to resort to other approaches for stimulation.

Reminds me of "Return of the Living Dead" Part 3, without the "Sexy Zombie Girl" thing.

I checked, the comics this is on actually predates ABC's "Resurrection", and the two other shows made in France and Australia.

The Returned series released from November 2012, and the comic in July 2012. However, the movie on which the series was based, They Came Back, was released in 2004.

So has anyone kept up with this? I've watched every episode so far and it's still interesting with how the Ant-Reviver guys seem to have some supernatural element to themselves too. And the moral ambiguities of how to treat the people as well
