Ash vs Evil Dead (new tv series)

Yeah, as I said upthread we've never seen true Kandarians outside of the games. Although remembering some of those monsters, I'm not sure I want to see them in HD, that realistic.

In the movies their deterioration followed the same pattern, the winged thing we saw in the first version of the 1300AD scene in Evil Dead 2 looked like the final state of transformation. I thought they all turned into that eventually, making it the demons form.

Apparently not though, if that little guy is the least worst option in the book, lets hope Ash never tries that again.

Ah Hell no! That did not just happen!

So Ruby may not be a villain but she definitely isn't looking to be best friends with Ash anytime soon.

How did she come to possess Ash's possessed hand?

Haven't seen this weeks episode yet, (I shouldn't even be on the thread yet but I forgot it aired tonight and clicked it mistake) but going by last weeks ending, Ash forgot to pick his hand up after getting out of the cuffs by disconnecting the dam thing. lol Check that episode ending, he's walking out to the car without it attached.

I think I've been to all the Michigan cities where Ash has worked. I liked that his happy place even had the postcard letters.

One thing that has surprised me about this show is how much I've liked the music they use on here. It's like a trashier version of Supernatural (and all the better for it).

And this show has actually got me to go on a rare trip through my boxes of DVDs to unearth my Evil Dead II DVD to watch again.

Was Ash told to bury the book where it all began? Are we going back to the cabin for the season finale? That'd be so cool.

As for the episode itself, the show is too serialized to judge each episode by its own merits. I almost want to wait until the season is finished and watch the whole thing as one long movie.

Oh, man, poor Kelly. First she loses her parents to Deadites and now she's possessed by that other critter. How did that even happen?

I loved Pablo's grandfather. "The light is dim in this one." :rommie:

And Ruby has Ash's hand. :rommie: I can't wait till Ruby and Fisher catch up with Ash (and I can't believe that Fisher was Irving's wife on Sleepy Hollow-- she makes a great action hero). If this all brings us back to the original cabin in the woods, I will be quite happy.

Hasn't he had this car for 30 years?
Yup. :rommie:

I think that Ash Vs Evil Dead may just be the greatest TV show of all time. And Bruce Campbell is an acting god, yes he is.

God, it makes so much sense for Ash :)

I also love the map outlining all the Value Stops that Ash has worked in over the years. Between that, the car, and how all his flashbacks were up 'till the 80s, it shows perfectly his inability to grow as an adult.

The shaman basically gave a laundry list of Ash's character traits. While that would have come across as lazy in any other show, the shaman was basically telling the audience what it already knows as confirmation.

Since Ruby already mentioned the events of Evil Dead 2, I really like the idea that this shaman, with all his creepy junk, wooden shacks, and very unconventional look, already did in a few minutes what expert archaeologist Professor Knowby failed to do spectacularly, which is defend against the evil force.

Also, this episode seemed to be very keen about Ash's hand. Ruby has the real hand, Pablo's making one out of the power glove, and Ash hallucinates that he has it back.

"12 more payments and its mine!"????? :wtf:

Actually, being Ash, I could imagine he's sold and bought back the car multiple times. He's probably 12 payments from buying it back from the last time he sold it.

Eh, I prefer the simpler route in that he's just never kept up with payments. It goes along with his lack of maturity and growth.

These days, people can take 30 year loans for college. I imagine that wasn't Ash's original plan for the old girl, but it just got to that point :)
