Progress has been slow thanks to the busy holidays, but I'm happy with how it's looking.

That’s pretty! Although, maybe it’s the angle of the photo, but the alignments of the windows towards the front of the 2H imply some serious non-Euclidean geometry for the corresponding decks inside.

Yeah, that's just how they're aligned on the model. I agree, it's kinda odd.

I'm also in the process of building an Enterprise-C. At this point it just needs painting. I would be interested in knowing which paints you're using.
No problem.

My base gray is Tamiya TS-81 Royal Light Gray.

The lighter blue is Tamiya AS-5 Light Blue (Luftwaffe).

The darker blue is a mixture of my own making that I sorely hope I have enough off because I lost my mixture notes because I've been building this thing for so damn long.

A different take on that concept

A nice launch bay

Sigh…

@publiusr, there’s of course nothing per se wrong with sharing a link to something that’s relevant to the topic from time to time. But it’s become something you’re doing with way too much frequency here on the Trek BBS. And in many cases it’s not entirely obvious why you think it’s something that really needs to be shared. Merely posting a bunch of links with half a sentence each just isn’t cutting it. I’m aware that you’ve actually been warned about doing this very thing in the past. But instead of giving you another warning I’m just going to ask you to dispense with sharing URLs entirely. At least for the time being.

Look, mate, I enjoy having you here, I really do. Your general positivity and way of giving feedback to posters sharing their works is something I genuinely value. And I’ll admit that sometimes there's something interesting to find in your collection of links. But it’s been getting a bit out of hand and posters as well as the staff have been complaining. I think you should get a blog or an account on Twitter or something like that; a place where it’s much more acceptable to post a bunch of interesting stuff you’ve found online. But as a message board this is not the place for that. So my hope is that you will be able to curb this thing. Feel free to reach out via PM if you need to discuss this any further. Thank you. :)

The Matt Mason Moon Suit and the new model kit are both based on the same original concept, of course.

The physical model kit? It was repopped in 2011, you might still be able to find one.

I love how you enhanced the hangar bay, building an observation deck with windows that match those on the outer hull, a personnel hatch at deck level and mechanisms to open and seal the bay doors, allowing them to totally clear the surrounding outer hull edges..

The only thing missing from that re-release was that record disk. Yeah, extra production costs, but they could have gotten around it by offering a web link printed upon the instructions or another sheet within the box. type it into one's browser and it would offer an .MP3 (.WAV file, whatever) of the original recording.
