I'm not much of a sitcom guy. But I watch a lot of them in reruns when I've got nothing better to do. This season, I even started watching "Two and a Half Men" on demand the next day, just to kill 20 minutes. It occasionally makes me chuckle, which is way more than any other non-animated sitcom does (Big Bang Theory doesn't make me laugh, but it still rocks cause of all the nerdy-ness)
Anyway... just curious if I'm like, one of the very few people whose a bit pissed at this whole Charlie Sheen shit, re: the show?
They've put up with his bullshit all this time, just to fire him after 4 or 5 months of it? They're killing a golden-goose show that makes them a big chunk of change, all because -- rumor has it -- the creator is just too damned pissed off to work with Sheen again. I dunno. I can't see anything good coming from any half-assed replacement of him. It's not like when John Ritter died, and they had to do different things to keep the show alive long enough to secure syndication. And anyone who watched that show remembers how bad it got after Ritter's death...
I dunno. Just pisses me off. The season was already suspended, which gave them until July to find a fix, or for Sheen to get his shit together. Why fire him now, after 4 months of this shit, with 4 months until the next season needs to begin production? Makes little sense. Especially since the reruns of the show are pulling in great ratings, and any return by Sheen would pull in some monster numbers down the line...
