It's so funny that people continue to talk smack about ID, but it did better than Beyond. Personally I'm leaning toward deciding that STID is STILL my favorite of the three. I loved Beyond, but there was almost no emotional depth. It was very TOS episode true, but I'm not sure that works in a movie without having deeper character growth. Leaves the viewer coming away feeling like something was missing. There was only very shallow character story lines, but mainly just Spock and Kirk's dilemma about whether to stay in Star Fleet. They talked a lot before the movie was released about it being about questioning the Federation, but that wasn't all that clear in the movie either since it wasn't some alien race against the Federation but one of its own. So answering this right now my list stands at:
1. STID
2. STB
3. ST 09
1. STID
2. STB
3. ST 09
