‘Superman & Batman’ movie will follow ‘Man of Steel’

Really, if you think about it... Wonder Woman is superhumanly strong. So she doesn't need bulging muscles. Heck, Superman could be built like Homer Simpson and still be stronger than a thousand humans. I often wonder how he even manages to be that buff when the available weights for him to lift would be so inadequate to stress his muscles. Mr. Incredible bench-pressed train cars to get in shape; Superman might need to do it with submarines or something.

Maybe he flies to Jupiter once a week, breaks off part of the planet's diamond core, and lifts it in situ.

Yes, I realize that sounds utterly preposterous. No, it's not a serious suggestion. :)

Also, women naturally have a slightly fuller layer of body fat over their muscles, softening their definition.
Now if you were in a relationship with Gadot or WW, defending her by citing her fuller layer of body fat would be a one-way ticket to the Invisible Doghouse.

but she isn't what every fan has envisioned in their head.
Remember when it was announced that Affleck will play Batman and everyone was in an uproar about it?
Now, after only a couple of minutes of trailer footage, he's already hailed as "best Batman ever" by some.

The 10 seconds of WW we've seen in the trailers has already convinced a lot of naysayers, I kinda have a feeling after the film finally gets released this will be a non issue.

One of the interesting things about long-run comic characters (and more recently Star Trek ;)) is seeing all the different interpretations and styles - new ideas added, or old things used in a fresh way. No way will Gal ruin WW forever; she is just the latest interpretation, and a very cool one at that.

Whoever chose "Geschäft Krieg" as the name of the European arms manufacturer was either incredibly unimaginative or quite subversive.
This is their company song:

I got to see the trailer before The Force Awakens I loved the final lines of the trailer.

Superman: Is she with you?
Batman: I thought she was with you.

Despite my post.. I actually agree.. I personally find super muscular-looking WW drawings to not be as appealing to me as where she simply simply looks thin and athletic. I guess I'm so used to all the fact that in the last twenty years she was drawn as being much stronger. So I guess I was going off that. I'd also kind of hate it if a more wirey-looking looking Wonder Woman would not be what fans want... especially if she is overpowered by Doomsday. She is the most iconic female superhero ever and actually probably my favorite superhero.. male or female.. and I just want her to be look right, be played right, adn kick ass. Maybe I have nothing to worry about. I thought Gal looked awesome .. more in the second trailer.. the bracelet attack looked more awesome than you think it would.

But that's just what I've been saying -- more big and bulgey does not equal stronger. Strength training and bulk training are two entirely different regimens with different goals; people who train for strength will not be as bulky as people who bulk up their muscles to pose onstage. Comic books for the past few decades have chosen the wrong model for depicting powerful characters, going more for fetishistic exaggeration than realistic portrayals of athleticism.

^^
It's also worth noting that Gal Gadot served in the military and is into sports and keeping fit.
She's in way better shape than most guys complaining she's not "strong" enough.

It's worth keeping in mind that fighters like WW, and Batman are supposed to be able to fight and move. If you get real big and bulky you can barely even move, so if the characters are going to doing a lot of running and moving when they fight then they can't be to big. Not to mention WW most likely rode horses in Themyscira, and I'm pretty sure you can't be huge and ride horses. I guess you could be bigger if you rode nothing but huge draft horses, but that seems unlikely in this case.

All this talk about what a character "should" look like reminds me of the pissing and moaning fifteen years ago when Hugh Jackman was cast as Wolverine, when people were automatically rejecting him because he was "too tall" or whatever.

Who gives a shit if the actor looks like the character in the comics? This is like when people were saying that WWE wrestler Triple H should have been cast as Thor, because he had a steroid physique and had long blond hair. Christ almighty, let the actor's performance speak for itself instead of demanding slavish adherence to some idealized fantasy.
