Why did you choose your login name and avatar?

Well...if you listened to the show as much as you seem to let on (what with your assumptions about what he "advocates")...you'd have heard that nickname at least once. ;)
I pride myself for listening as little as possible to people of... questionable character. Still, I find it unbearably funny that the apparently self-styled "Doctor of Democracy" isn't either a doctor or, well, democratic.

(with a Clintonion flair) Well, it all depends on what the meaning of the word "democracy" is....

(Normal voice) But seriously. If you don't listen to him...how can you assume what he says, or doesn't say?

C'mon, mate. I dare you. Listen to him every day for, say, a month--and then see if you say all that with a straight face. ;)

(My apologies to the mods for this off-topic "discussion". I'm just responding to the gentleman....)

I'm an asshole, and so is Colonel Green. He's asshole from one of the worst episodes of Trek ever made, no less. It was a match made in heaven.

Did you ever eat at the Mesquite Tree Grill?

Haven't tried that place. I'll have to check it out. Though, I'm a vegetarian... Guess my husband might like it. :techman:

Actually, I want to tell you to avoid it. Place has really gone downhill the last few years (especially since the original owner died). Though I haven't been there in two years, so it might have improved. You can get a better burger at Chilis, though.

I can avoid it. We don't go out to eat a whole lot. (We're too cheap :p) We usually hit Mexican food restaraunts when we do.

^I'm always partial to Italian, myself.

I.M.A.N.S.H.O., The Olive Garden has the gold standard for fettucini alfredo--especially with the Never-Ending Pasta Bowl, heavy on the parmesan. I wonder if they still have that....:drool::drool:

I was there last year, and they still had it. It is good.

^(Shaking) Oh...oh,yeah.... :drool::drool::drool:

(Just a bowl of awesomeness, followed by another...and another...and another...and you won't puke afterwords if you're gorged!):drool::drool::drool:

My husband loves the Olive Garden. I'm not so big on Italian, though, myself. Too heavy. (Mexican is too heavy for me too... but I like the salads. ;) )

Oh, a couple of years back when my friend got out of the Navy, we went to the Olive Garden and ordered two platters, which came with endless rolls and a huge salad. Between the two of us, we ate our dinners, 4 baskets of rolls, and the entire bowl of salad. We couldn't move for half an hour afterward.

If you like salads and have one nearby, Cracker Barrel has their Orchard Grilled Chicken salad, and it is absolutely delicious. I didn't even use the dressing, everything was so packed with flavor. Mmm... I want another one right now...

Thanks for the suggestion... except, I'm vegetarian too (who leans very strongly toward vegan). :p I know, I'm a hard woman to please.

Unless you have fuzzy handcuffs and a whip, that is. :p

I was vegetarian at one time. I loved every minute of it. Eventually, however, I couldn't afford it while trying to feed three other people as well.

THAT sounds like a challenge! :ouch:

I do have fuzzy handcuffs.

It doesn't have to be expensive. ;)

It does when they want to add chicken, bacon, ranch and cheese to their salads.

Therein lies your problem. I am the only vegetarian in the family. They are welcome to all the meat they want (within our grocery budget). :techman:

Always, my friend. Always.
I love a challenge. I also love Darjeeling tea.

Hm. Never had it. My favorite drink is actually ice water. But once in a while I like licorice tea with a dallop of honey.

I think we shall be great friends, you and I.
Indeed, I believe we shall.

:vulcan: Our choice of smilies makes me wonder.

And just so I don't get kicked out of this thread for being off topic.

My new Halloween name is not actually related to Transformers, even though I stole it from them. I just wanted a name to match my avatar. (Which is T'Pol freaking out from the ENT episode, Impulse)

My Halloween name comes from the show SMALLVILLE...since Clark Kent is not called Superman yet people call him "The Blur" cause he is fast.

My avatar is of Clark Kent in his new "Blur" jacket.

I would rather dig out my own lungs with a spork, thanks.

Apologies as well. I was just befuddled by the sheer... peculiarity of it. This will be my last post on the matter.

This makes me wonder about the kind of Italian food you had. A large part of Italian cuisine, like most Mediterranean food, is composed of uncooked/lightly cooked vegetables and lean meat.
