Sweet Mother Mary!

This series is going to be the death of me!

I'm glad the Angels finally pulled one out.

Now we'll see how the Yankees pitching plan works.

Go Angels!!

:techman:

So... why the intentional walk? :wtf:

To get the force out at home, which is what happened the next play.

Huh?

Angels had runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out. On a ground ball to an infielder the only play is the force out at 1st - just touch the bag. A run scores and as they say, that's church.

The run at first doesn't matter. You put the man on at first, now on ground ball, you've got a force play at home - just touch the plate, not tag the runner - and keep the inning alive. Taking the lead runner out also leaves the force at home in play.

I have faith that CC will deliver the Yankees a victory but if Giradi fucks up the relief pitching again the Angels might get yet another victory.

Lidge still remains the epitome of this. He can put together a couple of quality pitches and maybe an inning, but he still remains the guy who blew 11 saves this year (and just generally blew).

Postseason baseball has been quite good so far this season. Class keeps me away from the games until they're almost over, but I've caught the end of a few exciting games so far. A very clutch base knock by Rollins last night to put the Dodgers on the brink.

Apparently MLB.com got a little ahead of themselves.

Randy Wolf gave tickets to the former members of the Wolf Pack, which was pretty nice of him considering he knew they'd be rooting against him. I wonder if Padilla will do the same for his Flotilla...probably not.

I hope all the Umpires are released after the LCS and they get 6 umpires from the regular season to call the World Series. The Umps they got now are terrible.
