^ Don't worry. That's probably more RBIs than he'll get in the entire postseason. ;)

Is the Twins/Tigers tiebreaker going to be on TV?

I'm sure it will be somewhere.

None of the major networks (ESPN, MLB, Fox, TBS) have it on their listings, I can only hope they'll add it at the last minute. That'll be an exciting game...

I have only gone to one game at Fenway Park, the Sox lost 2-0 to the Twins, so since then I have hoped for them losing whenever I can. :)

I have my own reasons for wanting the Sox to lose. ;) (I have been to Fenway myself, though, last year. Had a great time. The food and beer tasted great, and my dad got us some awesome seats. I have good memories of the place...that is, if I manage to forget the near claustrophobic level panic trying to get into the subway station afterward.... )

Seriously, though, I can't imagine why Sox fans aren't in mass civil disorder about this. That stupid station has been in near constant construction mode for years now! Isn't the fucking MBTA ever going to FINISH that sumbitch? :brickwall:

Oh boy, here he goes again.

It takes longer to renovate a public transit system if you want to keep it operating during the construction. At any rate, I found the MTA to be at least as "claustrophobic" as the T. And as has been mentioned the last several times you brought this up, after a Sox game, the best bet is to walk to the next station and catch the train there--thus avoiding the Fenway crowds.

I'm sure it does, but the Kenmore station was like this way before we got there, and apparently still is. They started the work in 2005, and were supposed to be done in two years. Still not done. Has there been NO progress whatsoever?? I've been to many stations in other cities that were being remodeled, and none of them ever took this long. What does it look like there now?

Maybe you don't understand how scary this was for me. I'm claustrophobic. I almost had a fucking panic attack in that crowd. Maybe you people, who aren't afraid of anything, would not care. But that night was hard to forget.

And as I also said, none of us had ever been to Boston before. We could hardly afford to go exploring. We really didn't feel like getting lost in the middle of Boston at that time of night.

(For that matter, where IS the next station? Which one would you have suggested we use?)

Anyhoo....back on topic:

The Twins/Tigers tiebreaker WILL be televised, according to MLB.com. TBS is showing it! :techman:

I empathize, but you are belaboring the point, and a little jab at everyone else doesn't help matters.

Just go exploring at mbta.com. Try the Fenway stop or take a bus. It's really not an insurmountable problem.

^ We were actually warned ahead of time *not* to use the stop that is called 'Fenway'. I think this was just because Kenmore is closer though.

The Braves television play-by-play announcer Jon Sciambi (not that douchebag Skip Caray) just accepted a full time job at ESPN. :(

I'll explain why all the transportation systems suck in Massachusetts...

Fucking Big Dig.

All I remember is that I got on the train block and blocks away from Fenway Park, and when I got back on it to go back to where we parked it was packed! It was also free.

You'd prefer the old Central Artery? :wtf: If that still existed, there would be continuous, 100% gridlock 24/7.

Ah well. I'm still trying to search TBS' website for the tiebreaker game - they don't have it listed. I hope they will broadcast the game like they said they would!

Glad the Mets are done. What an awful season. And it started off so promising...stupid injuries.

Our long national nightmare has ended! I'm stoked for the playoffs to get going though.

My wife takes the commuter train to the Fenway Station back and forth to work. She hates gamedays because of the excess commotion it causes there.

She has more right to complain about that rotten thing than any of us here. It sounds pretty rotten.

It's not on TBS' website, but the Twins' website says they'll broadcast the game. It starts at 4:07 (CDT)- just in time for happy hour.

Never did get tickets for the tiebreaker game. By the time I got through, they were sold out of all but a few single and obstructed view seats. I should have logged on to the site when the game first ended, but I got caught up in watching the Metrodome farewell ceremony on tv.

Was in Minneapolis a couple of weeks ago and had a function on the 50th floor of the IDS Tower and took this shot with my phone out the window.

^ That is...a beautiful pic. Target Field is so gonna ROCK. :techman:

Tiebreaker game isn't listed in the DVR channel guide either. So unless *that* gets added at the last minute, I'm not sure how to record the damn thing (assuming TBS really is going to show it)...

Either turn on TBS at game time

Unless I'm lucky enough to get a lunch break at precisely 4 PM, I'm outta luck on that point.

or set your DVR to record at gametime for 3+ hours.

All that's on at that time, according to the channel guide, is Friends. I suppose I could just record every program on TBS from 4 till about 8, but (assuming TBS really is showing this game) I guess whoever handles the channel guide data is just lazy...
