Bingo. if they're going to alter stuff in such a huge way and change the Trek time line so massively, they better milk such a plot line for all its worth. Its dramatic gold and dealing with it would be something we haven't seen in TrekI want them to acknowledge the importance of the choices they made in the first film. That is,
the destruction of Vulcan. What happens then? What will the Vulcans do? How will this affect Spock in the long run? I'd want to see these addressed at least somehow.
