Star Trek XII

Here's an idea...

"for the world is hollow, and I have touched the sky"

with some real effects...

just kidding but actually...

I want Khan...only if they bring him back as a Borg.

And Owen Wilson plays him.

Otherwise, I will boycott this next movie.

:shifty:
I'd watch it. "Come on, Jim... gimme the ship. [bouncing, nose sublimating into higher-dimensional space] I just wanna assimilate it a little!"

A brainfart of an idea just occurred to me, that a combination of Amok Time and Devil in the Dark, two of my favorite episodes, would be doable if the surviving Vulcans, who include T'Pring, relocated to Janus IV, which turns out (naturally) to be crawling with Horta during their own mating season. Unfortunately, it might not have enough space noise in it for the theatres--okay, the Klingons also want to take over Janus IV, which it turns out is actually near the KNZ, and they are led by Kang, or Kor, or hu'Kares, giving the Enterprise something to shoot at and a nice love-to-hate villain. The Horta are made friends with and somehow help to defeat the Klingons. The Prime Directive is not mentioned, even though it clearly applies. Spock gets some. Hopefully Kirk gets his ass handed to him as in the prime timeline and in the best scene of ST11, but this time the sneer stays smacked off his face.

I'd like to see the Borg again, but let's face the facts:
  • The Borg have a queen, and Kirk is quite the womanizer.
  • Kirk has a tendency to trick artificial intelligences into questioning their programming (M5, Landru, etc).
So how much of a fight would it really be? :rommie:

Kirk and the Borg Queen would "hammer out a peace plan," then 18 years later, Kirk would have a half-Borg illegitimate son who hates him. Fan reaction would be something like "Dammit, how many times are they going to rip off Beowulf, it was bad enough when VOY did Heroes & Demons."

-Nobody has any real idea how old Scott is. But he not the same age as everyone else.

Scott was born in 2222 since he was said to be 147 in 2369. So in the Prime Universe he would have been 42 when the Enterprise started it's 5 year mission, and 36 in the new film.
