That scene to me always seemed like she was about to accidentally blab about La'an and EDF Kirk. She starts her line about a time... there's a slight pause and Pike gives her a look and then she says travelling doctor. Pike is aware La'an had a time travelling adventure involving Romulans and it just seems to me like he clocked Pelia was about to commit to a temporal prime directive no no and needed her to course correct her conversation subtly.

But that is just my interpretation of the scene and it works for me. If one wants to believe Pelia really did have such adventures then hey that's cool too. She thought lasers were only science fiction in 2022 and didn't know aliens were real until Vulcan first contact but that still leaves 200 years of her being up to only she knows what.

That crossover would've been interesting, but given how the second RTD era crashed and burned... I think we dodged a bullet there.
