lol lol you know i was talking about duck dodgers which is the daffy duck cartoon that takes place in the future and also in space
Yeah, it's "Duck Dodgers in the 24½th Century". It's halfway through the century because it's a joke, and also because the first cartoon was released in 1953.

So it's set 53 years into the 24th century, placing it in the year 2353. Encounter at Farpoint is set in 2364, roughly 10 years afterwards. Basically, TNG is STAR TREK IN THE 24½TH CENTURY!!

lol lol oh ok

i'm kinda tired of "yeah we are doing things that breaks the franchise so lets just say its a different timeline" approach.

Weird: back in the day, I basically disliked the Kelvin timeline until Star Trek Beyond. But today, though they’ll never do it, I really wouldn’t have a problem with a Kelvinverse TV series. Not the Enterprise (I’m sure the main cast would be unaffordable), but some other back-to-basics exploration-etc starship with similar aesthetics, with the future wide open and not bogged down by “canon”.

Not bogged down in the sense that they don't strictly have to stick to it, being in a different reality, but it's still there for them to refer to when deciding what also happened in the alternate reality and what didn't.

Sure. Though if it were up to me, since it’d be a different ship, heading off in different directions than the Enterprise did back in TOS, ideally most of that just wouldn’t matter, and it’d all be planets we never heard of anyway.

An idea for a new series I had would be something that takes an alternate take on ENT and TOS. Set in a different Universe, this Universe has no Xindi War Arc, no Temporal Cold War, the sphere that attacks Earth is instead launched by the Romulans. The Romulans replace the Xindi, and there is an alternate Earth-Romulan War, where the Romulans win. The Romulans don't wipe out Earth or anything like that, they just more or less expand a bit and maintain the presence as the "Big Bad" throughout the show.

Instead of the Klingons as the villains, the Klingons are relucant allies with Earth, and become Federation members or at least some sort of Alliance, with the Romulans being far stronger, far more powerful, and far more devious than they were in the mainline.

It would be like "Yesterday's Enterprise", full of Cold War Paranoia, the lingering Romulan threat present everywhere.
