What other TNG crewmember would've been interesting on DS9?

Honestly, I don't give a d*** about your opinions in this case and I'm not interested in debating with some person who only come up with rude and provoking comments.

I don't want anything to do with people like you and I have no intention to be banned or suspended because of you.
Lynx, I sugest you stop. We don't want to have a gap again because of anything you might say.

If this is you not debating, I'd hate to see you debating.
I just wanted to make some things clear here.

First of all, I'm sick and tired of all the instigating going on. I can't hardly mention a certain character without being personally attacked by certain people on this forum.

Like in this case when I actually brought up something which have been brought up in the VOY forum several times, not only by me. Note also that I did bring up several other characters as well who could have been a great addition to DS9.

To be honest, this is the first time in months since I've been mentioning a certain character who a certain group of people seem to hate.

But then the instigation and personal attacks immediately starts!

For the sake of the peace on this forum, I decided not to "fight back", due to the risk of being labelled as "the bad guy" on the forum, I decided to tell certain people here that I'm not interested in any debates at all with them, due to their rude and offensive behavior all the time.

But they keep yapping like Chihuahuas and continue to go for personal attacks.

And this has been going for a while now, like when I had that heated debates about the current Star Trek series I'm not that fond of and also in a thread about Star trek during the Berman era when they were a lot of instigation, not only in those threads but in other threads in the VOY forum as well.

And I'm tired of it.

I must also state that I have a low opinion in common about people who behave like spoiled children and post childish "laughing emojis" as replies. Not only here but on other forums and websites as well.

Such actions shows a lot of contempt for other people and other peoples opinions and also shows a lack of debating skills and writing skills.

Trying to get this back on track.

Ro, Guinan, and Will Riker all would've been good to see on DS9. Pulaski too, while we're at it.

Retroactively, a 20-something Raffi would've been good to see on DS9 somehow, some way, especially during the Dominion War.

I forgot to mentioned Ro Laren which is also one of the characters I really would lhave liked to see on DS9.

In the books written after the series ended, they actually brought her in as a security chief which was a good idea in Odo's absence.

However, the ideal solution would have been to have Odo back as Security Chief and Ro as his assistant.

Since it’s allowed despite the fact that it would never, ever have happened… it’s one thing to have Sisko somewhat reconcile with Picard at the end of the pilot episode, but it would’ve been quite another if he’d suddenly had to face Picard being transferred to the station as well on a permanent basis, and see the face of Locutus every damn day!

Likewise, it’s one thing for an embittered, widowed Starfleet officer like Sisko to face the dark edges of the “real world” the Federation usually doesn’t have to overtly deal with — quite another for a near-ideologue like Picard to have to face them directly, decades earlier than he canonically did after the attack on Mars, and to daily deal with the above version of Sisko.

Another character I would have liked to see is Keiran MacDuff from the TNG episode Conundrum.

OK, Keiran MacDuff in Conundrum was a Satarran agent who tried to use the ship and crew of the Enterprise in the war against the Lysians. But imagine if that MacDuff simply was a clone or copy of a real Keiran MacDuff in Starfleet. That MacDuff could have been an excellent addition to DS9, maybe as a replacement for Eddington after he had been revealed as a Maquis.

Back in the days before they ruined everything with a retro series after VOY, I used to toy with the idea of a new ship with a new crew where Gary Sinise could have been the captain, a space vision of Mac Taylor in CSI New York and MacDuff could have been the First Officer on that ship.

Recently I discovered that actor Erich Anderson who played MacDuff died two years ago. I didn't know that until now. Really sad. :weep:

Anyway, there are always possibilities for written stories.

I wouldn't have minded a slight comedic episode of Barclay arrives on DS9 to install or help Dr Zimmerman prepare for the EMH installation Quark finds out that Barclay is a holodeck expert tries to get him to work with Rom and the episode just becomes Barclay and Rom walking round the station fixing things and causing social awkwardness.

Nick Lacarno as now a member of the Marquis aswell.

Ben the Waiter or Mott the Barber... Mott would have largely overlapped merchants like Quark and Garak as a gossip agent but at least we would've provided a much needed splash of color.

We did get another TNG character that didn't work out, Lt. George Primmin. He was only in two episodes in S1 but was an Ensign in TNG.

Also a good one, Captain Maxwell... pull him out from whatever New Zealand penal colony he was forced to endlessly garden in and send him to an AR-558 type situation. That guy looked like he could really rally some desperate troops. And then he could go out with a bang and redeem himself.

In my Berman era reboot I put Pulaski on the station. K'Ehleyr too, as Chief Diplomatic Officer.
That looks interesting.

But if Pulaski is on the station, what abour Bashir?
And how do you bring K'Eleyhr back to life?

When I write something which includes DS9, I have the original crew from the series on the station wth Sosko as captain and Odo as Chief of Security added with some characters like Ro Laren as Odo's First Officer.

A friend of mine actually came up with an idea to have Jadzia Dax back as well while still keeping Ezri Dax in the crew.

I'd go down Myk's approach but if we were to assume your version where both are there I'd have a similar situation to Odo/Eddington and Odo/Worf where Pulaski is head doctor for the station (like Odo is for security) and Bashir is the field doctor who can go to dangerous locations more capably and deal with away mission emergencies
