What other TNG crewmember would've been interesting on DS9?

Well, not a TNG character, but he would be coming off of his appearance in a TNG episode -- Scotty. A dilapidated space station in constant need of repair might just be his happy place.

Does the Doctor count with having Zimmerman in DS9 and EMH in First Contact?

Would have loved to see more Dr. Zimmerman; shame he only had the one appearance on DS9, and much of that was part of a super-cringey Rom dating subplot.

How about Lieutenant Barclay serving under O'Brien as part of the engineering team for DS9 and the Defiant?

Barclay would be far too anxious for such a stressful posting. He wouldn't really start to loosen up until Voyager returned to the Alpha Quadrant, and he and Seven started dating... :p

Maybe [Tasha] could have appeared in the Mirror Universe episodes

Or Mirror Troi!

While I think that'd conflict with O'Brien too much, seeing my two favorite Trek characters working together and geeking out on engineering stuff would be my heaven.

I don't know. For some reason, I think Barclay might thrive more in the crazy world that is DS9 than in the rather formal, stoic environment of the Enterprise-D.

^ Mirror Barclay would certainly be one batsh*t-crazy sociopath, that's for sure. He and his lover B'Elanna would hit each other with pain sticks for foreplay. :rommie:

Really sad that they never tied up the Sela/Yar plot thread.

Was it her acting? I hate to say it, but I never thought she was a great actor.

Is there a complete list of characters from TNG that showed up on DS9?

I did a whole thread about this, but I realised just how bad Sela was eventually. To me it's very obvious rewatching it they had the big reveal in mind, which was great. Then... they had no idea what to do. The way they back pedal and turn her into a generic Romulan so quickly is remarkable. Picard might as well have said "Oh well then, moving on." It felt like the writers were told they had to use Crosby, did... but clearly were not interested in taking it further so kind of sunk the idea through bad execution.

Why do you hate DS9? Voyager got instantly better once she left. Addition by subtraction. Putting her in DS9 would be subtraction by addition.
I don't hate DS9.

In fact, it has become my favorite show since I finally got the chance to watch the whole series about ten years ago.

And I have no intention to debate this issue with you.

You're the one that came in with a character that didn't make a lick of fucking sense in any way or shape.

It's like this: I'm sick and tired of being constantly ridiculed and attacked by certain persons on this forum.

However, I do have the right to post comments about certain series, events and characters when I find it appropriate.

Since I'm also sick and tired to end up in endless debates with certain posters and because of that being labeled as "the bad guy" on this forum and ending up in trouble with moderators, I've made a list of people who I simply won't to have have any debates or discussions with.

It's for the sake of the peace on this forum.

Your negative and provocative comments about characters I happen to like is are totally irrelevant for me.

I'm now picturing Data being brought on and developing a mostly off-screen bromance with Morn.

Data to O'Brien: "I have found Morn to be quite the conversationalist versed in many complex subjects from advanced physics, multimodal reflection sorting, and bar edict. His guidance has been invaluable to my transition to life on the station."

If O'Brien didn't exist, maybe? With O'Brien, you'd just be largely duplicating the character.

You happen to like one character, very publicly, very obsessively, by virtually any definition. You even have a web page you tout where you pose the actor like a creepy doll using your ah.. ms paint skills. Everyone is either supposed to ignore that or feel sorry for you. Anything else risks stoking whatever this thing you have for Lien/Kes. Now you want her in shows she literally couldn't be in without divine or Q intervention.

Yes, expect people to find it questionable

Honestly, I don't give a d*** about your opinions in this case and I'm not interested in debating with some person who only come up with rude and provoking comments.

I don't want anything to do with people like you and I have no intention to be banned or suspended because of you.

Case closed.

You're the one who can't resist the cheese.

It is great to have a favorite character, and no one should be ashamed of who that favorite character is. Same time, they should only be brought up when they have something to actually do with the conversation being had.

It looks silly bringing them up in pretty much every conversation one takes part in, whether it has anything to do with the character or not.
