I was just thinking that bikini girls on a boat wouldn't make me horny, then thought of a male equivalent. Bikini boy is nice and alliterative, but I do find the word boy more juvenile-coded than girl. Brits often seem to use the word lad more like how girl is used.

Also, while I can certainly appreciate the male form, I actually think I'd prefer dudes in regular swim trunks.

My point is that if they are going to retcon the visual distinctiveness of TOS, then they should be consistent with it. In this retconned prime universe, it should have been the SNW uniforms used in the comic, not TOS, if the comic was supposed to be a representation of the 23rd century. But I haven’t seen the episode so perhaps my judgments are faulty.

I liked the Motion Picture pajamas, and the more jumpsuity ones from Enterprise.

Probably my only (very shallow) dislike of Wrath of Khan was those tunics with the Velcro flap.

All Frakes said was the glitter vomit "seems absurd." I didn't get the impression he meant that as a negative, just that it's unusual, which it kind of is, but so what?

Considering he's called Code of Honor a "racist piece of crap" when he's being kind to it, "seems absurd" is light criticism.

There's cringe Trek, and then there's morally offensive Trek that's badly scripted and not very well acted. And that describes "Code of Honor" better than anything else I can come up with.

As much as I love the Monster Maroons, they don't make sense as a regular duty uniform. Too many layers and too formal. If they were the dress uniform alongside the TMP jumpsuits, that would make more sense.

What always gets me are the novels set during the Maroon era, when they mention characters switching to dress uniforms. Which means there's a separate uniform which is considered more formal than the Monster Maroons? Damn.
