No, they didn't.

The area encompassed by mines did not cover Bajor or Betazed.

It literallt put the Athena outside of Federation space and the rest of the Fleet at Betazed inside Federation space behind the Omega Wall.

Does this episode establish Reno as the Chief Engineer of the Athena without outright saying so.

An auxiliary Sickbay is on Deck 2, but no real indication of where this is in relation to the Bridge.

Where is Kelrec? Had he already beamed down to Betazed or did he get left behind on Earth again?

EDIT - Whem Terima gets in the Turbolift with Caleb, the Academy Levels are listed towards the door, and Terima gets on at Deck 33, unclear if Caleb gets on at Deck 34 or 35. It also clearly shows the lifts moving up the decks but not the Academy levels. Terima gets off on Deck 16.

EDIT the Second - Terima seems a bit TOO worried about Caleb sneaking off to Ishaak, and ending up with the Omega-Wall after we previously had the Psychic-Wall of Betazed. The too good to be a coincidence sense is tingling

EDIT the Third - The Bridge is on Deck 2.
These "turbo" lifts do seem to take a lot longer to do 16 floors than the ones in the 1970s office block I visit for work. No wonder they need seats.

Nice action/adventure episode. I still wonder if Mama Mir isn’t hiding something. Braka’s plan is interesting. I do wonder if we’ll see Disco in the finale to help Athena. The only ship that could get past the barricade. 8/10.
I think she is part of the VR or has recently been. I think the constant hints of her mechanical genius are callbacks to the last person referred to as such - Rom. He was great with a minefield, by coincidence.

Some of my thoughts I posted at another SFA thread.

I had a lot of issues with it. Was there anything good in it??? A couple things maybe. . But overall it's continuing the ridiculousness.

The last scene with the federation space being surrounded by this big bubble energy field....WTH??? How did Braka set up such a HUGE net on an ENORMOUS amount of space that the Federation occupies. And only in a couple months??? Completely ridiculous and when they panned out and shows the outer edge of the bubble I just 😏

Why do we even need this huge "universal" (not literally the universe) ending threat in a show like SFA??? We got a lot of that in Disco S1-3.

Other WTF moments. Sam being put in shackles Why? We just saw her minutes before doing her best Samantha Stephens into Caleb's bedroom. Yeah I know head of security said if you run we will kill your friends or something like that. But still why the shackles and how the heck did they know she was a Hologram??. That said I do like Sams transformation. Her new personality is better.

Then there was some dialogue that George Lucas would be embarrassed of....."Your name sounds like flowers"... 😂

Then there is Jay-Den..I'm afraid they DON'T know what to do with him. Tbf Enterprise and Disco had this issue with a couple characters. I think Jay-Den is SFA's. I get that he is a pacifist and all. But give the character some depth.. Show us his skills beyond holding up a boulder or having anxiety talking in front of people. Give him something to do. The actor playing him is out there promoting the hell out of the show on his own..throw the poor kid some good stuff writers.

When I first started watching the show I noticed Harry Potter vibes like a lot of viewers. I saw an interview with Kurtzman and sure enough they used HP as an influence for certain scenes etc. But we get very little school stuff in this show. With the War College game/Theater class and debate being the most prominent. All stuff that has little to do with the Command/medical or Science etc divisions that one will need. Yeah I get most of its off screen but still...300 days have passed and I just don't feel they have been taught or have learned anything significant. Oh and the annoying SFA Pa guy (voiced by Stephen Colbert)......it's AWFUL and not funny and doesn't add anything to the story..

Why did Caleb run off the bridge with mom??? Why didn't they immediately beam to medical?

Stuff I liked. Always like Frakes Direction even when he's given awful scripts. I was hoping since he directed it would be something good like his last Disco outing. But alas this one wasn't. Picardo and Holly Hunter....always do a great job with what they are given. And I mentioned I like Sam's new personality better. Also again the production quality is excellent. Which it should be with the cash they dump into these shows.

I thought about this when she said it. Her bringing it up doesn't require it to be during her lifetime. It could be equivalent to somebody complaining that Constantinople is called "Istanbul" by people.
Time to deply this I feel

Yeah, I get the complaints about "yet another galaxy wide threat." That's uncreative and overused. However, we really needed something to happen on SFA. Something to give it impetus.

I just hope they can stick the landing.

That's what they said in dialog, but we're talking about the mistakes in the maps.

That sounds like normal young adults talking and trying to compliment one another. You know, people interacting with one another, not scripted or logical.
Sure, your random middle schoolers. Not the elite space college attendees. Clunky dialog for sure.

But, I enjoyed this one more than last week's, so I'm not complaining.

I remember when on Buffy the Vampire they tried to one up the big bad every season. They had a god then Willow having godlike power and then eventually the first evil. Same with Supernatural....they ended up fighting THE GOD. Where the hell do you go from there??? 😂

Anyhow the BTVS spinoff Angel had its fair share of powerful big bads as well but you know what did more damage to Angel then any of the super powerful big bads??? A simple human from the past. He ended up stealing Angels son. Total emotional breakdown. Which affected Angels life for the rest of the series.

So it doesn't always have to be this huge story. There could have been something.internal at the academy. Idk. But I for one am tired of stuff that is gonna destroy warp travel on a huge scale.

I get what you are saying. I tried to defend Anakin's I hate sand in AOTC the same way. But no one bought it. 😂 But i think this is the same level cringe or worse.. If anything Tarima sounds like a delicious dessert or fruit. 😂

I definitely agree that it doesn't have to be massive scale. But that requires a deft writer's touch that hasn't been evident yet. At this point, I just want stuff to happen!

Nah, young adults talk like that too.

They're still young adults, the school they're attending doesn't change that.
Age matters. Particularly when you're talking about middle schoolers vs. elite academy cadets.

If you (the general "you," not you specifically) are speaking like a middle schooler and you're in college, people are going to look at you weirdly.
