Fans are perfect experts on how these things work and no that can be never be contradicted.I love the fact that we’re all experts on how a space academy in the year 3,190 should realistically work.

Well I miss it and would love to see what adventures they're up to in the backgroundBy the Prophets, no. We already suffered enough with that show and all its shrink sessions and bad writing.
Yeah...noI think we are more experts than the people in charge, lol.
Hell, trekyards came up with a much better idea for Ep5 than the people in charge.
I'd love to see it exactly once.I'm a self-acknowledged continuity and canon nerd and even I wouldn't want to be the final say in things. Nobody in our community needs nor deserves that power.
I miss LOWER DECKS and would love to see more adventures with the Cerritos. Sadly, we won't likely be getting that.Well I miss it and would love to see what adventures they're up to in the background
More to the point, even if someone wanted to put the Red Squad cadets to death to prevent them from testifying against Admiral Leyton, there are other ways they could have arranged that which also didn't include sacrificing a state of the art warship. You think that Red Squad were assigned to the Valiant in the hopes that they might be killed (alongside all the actual officers on board) in an attempt to stop them testifying against Admiral Leyton?
Who arranged it and why? And what of the other people that would be able to testify against him? Were they all sent out into "maybe dangerous" assignments?
As do I. I wish both shows could have had more seasons.I miss LOWER DECKS and would love to see more adventures with the Cerritos. Sadly, we won't likely be getting that.
No? I think we're assigned to the Valiant to move them beyond anyone's ability to call in as witnesses. You think that Red Squad were assigned to the Valiant in the hopes that they might be killed (alongside all the actual officers on board) in an attempt to stop them testifying against Admiral Leyton?

If I wanted to see a historical index of Star Trek, I'd read Memory Alpha. If I want to be entertained, I'll watch one of the shows.I'm a self-acknowledged continuity and canon nerd and even I wouldn't want to be the final say in things. Nobody in our community needs nor deserves that power.
I was under the impression they werent assigned to the Valiant until quite a bit later, like right before the Dominion War broke out.No? I think we're assigned to the Valiant to move them beyond anyone's ability to call in as witnesses.
Which is directly spelled out in the episode.
You have my apologies for misunderstanding your position. No? I think we're assigned to the Valiant to move them beyond anyone's ability to call in as witnesses.

Yeah, the ep says they have been out there for eight months. (Five more than what they were supposed to be.)I was under the impression they werent assigned to the Valiant until quite a bit later, like right before the Dominion War broke out.
Red Squad disappeared in "PARADISE LOST" after Shepard was questioned by Sisko. Nog said he couldn't find them anywhere.I was under the impression they werent assigned to the Valiant until quite a bit later, like right before the Dominion War broke out.

There's no plot whose general story can't be adapted to work within the rails of already existent canon. If I wanted to see a historical index of Star Trek, I'd read Memory Alpha. If I want to be entertained, I'll watch one of the shows.
Needs of the plot should always be the first duty. Canon can do what it needs to make it fit once the episode airs.

Paradise Lost. You have my apologies for misunderstanding your position.
My memory fails me, what was said in the episode that establishes that?
Yes, but that wouldn't happen concurrently with this show.I miss LOWER DECKS and would love to see more adventures with the Cerritos. Sadly, we won't likely be getting that.
