Thinking about it, you have to wonder how much research did Sam actually did on the subject given it shouldn't have have taken more then a single query to figure out Illa was Dax.
"Wait a minute. Illa isn't a surname, is it?"
"You're a good detective. I expect to see you in my class next year. Find it in the course catalogue
under my full name: Illa Dax."

Congratulates her for being a good detective even though her full name is on public record. :D

I mean... Dax is teaching a class called "Confronting the Unexplainable" whose subject matter is about scientifically explainable things...

So even after 700 years she still apparently hasn't moved beyond her joy of trolling people.

None of that is explainable. 900 years after Kirk first went through the Galactic Barrier we saw Burnham and Discovery remain baffled by many of its properties, and the Guardian of Forever was still a riddle centuries after the Federation's first encounter with the device.

They also went to the center of the galaxy twice.

Says who?
Past episodes of Star Trek that have explained the various things.

Putting aside the fact that Burnham was 900 years behind in her scientific knowledge.

There was more in the class then those things, and most were scienced in the episodes they showed up in.

Hell, Sisko's fate is only "unexplained" because everyone of note wants it to stay unexplained.

I'm not even sure I understand how Sisko's fate is unexplained. He died and the Bajoran people believe that he now lives with the Prophets.

There's two explanations right there!

I'm not sure how it's unexplained given there had to be hundreds of time traveling historians going over the events of Sisko's life and afterlife with a fine toothed comb.

That's all well and good but no one would have been in the fire caves with him to see what exactly happened (trying to mess with any of Sisko's life would incur the wrath of time police and gods so not a good idea) and the Prophets don't exactly reveal the nature of themselves to anyone so the exact nature of life in the wormhole is probably going to be a mystery forever.

Why not? All it would have taken is a transporter and cloaking suit?

Probably because the Prophets won't allow it.

The Prophets can't mess with Time Travelers.

Chronitons are a deadly poison to them, and normal time travel always generates and floods the body with Chronitons.
They could stop someone from time travelling from and to any time period before they even do it. The Sisko's life was their master plan, they wouldn't let a time traveller near his life unless their involvement was predestined.

OR maybe Trilling people.

The Prophets don't have that power.

In fact, they barely have any power outside of the Wormhole.

Tawny literally says in the video they only decided to make the character Cardassian after it was suggested she be cast for the role. Are you calling her a liar?
Calm down. I made a typo and meant to say "it's probably better the character were part Cardassian." Which I will be fixing momentarily.

Wait until the 42nd century and the classes will be asking why was the USS Discovery defitted and sent away? Did Ruon Tarka die or transport to another universe?

Star treks tech has always been an important part of the show. Look at tng. The Enterprise itself looked impressive per the tech but it didnt look non functional.

The new shows we get air touch screens. They didnt even come up with that. Its been used limited in Berman trek for things like graphics st conference tables but what they are using in Kurtzman trek is what we see in marvel movies. The air touch screens. Not even practical when walking an alien world.

If they wanted to go ahead 800 years they needed way a more startling advancement. Which of course would have been starships themselves. STD had the discovery. A much more advanced propulsion system. By the 32nd century we should have seen an equivalent or something different but better. But yet when discovery got there we find out that 750 years after discovery they were still relying on dilithium for the warp drive to keep the matter and anti matter flow separated. They had nothing to compare to discovery. Cochranes warp drive didnt have dilithium. Though his drive was dangerous he still came up with a way to make it work for a few minutes using primitive tech he had in the 21st century. . 32nd century tech should have found a solution. Its gross incompetence really. People even started to starve after the burn. It makes absolutely no sense.
Discovery is DSC STD is a deliberate and inappropriate insult
