"With the start of the new academic year, Caleb's unease about his future at Starfleet Academy persists. But when a delegation from a former Federation ally arrives and Caleb is tasked with showing their leader's daughter around campus, he must put his uncertainty aside to discover what life at the Academy is really about." - TrekCore.com

Those eyes! This isn't Star Trek!!1

Cool illustration. That’s AI generated, though, correct?

I’ve been wondering about the eyes: Reportedly Tarima is wearing some sort of neural suppressor on her neck, curtailing her telepathic abilities. It’s just a wild theory, but could that perhaps be changing the coloring of her eyes?

I love this synopsis. It means they are continuing to address the Federation recovery.

Wasn't that how they handled Earth on Discovery?
Yes, but no. I'll use a Spoiler Box.

Earth was isolationist but that's where it stopped. They were just self-sufficient. And they had a conflict going on with Titan. They could've made Earth a lot worse, like outright xenophobic, but they didn't go there. They didn't go all the way. I think they could take Batezed to another level. Which would make for a fitting allegory considering how much worse everything is this second time around IRL.

Of course, I'm talking in the dark and speculating out loud, since we don't know where they're actually going to go with this yet.

Cut to Discovery forgetting that Luna was inhabited.

They didn't say anything about the Moon at all, that I recall.

A lack of mention isn't the same as a contradiction. The Moon could've even been a "territory" of Earth.

More likely, the large population centers on the moon probably just relocated to Earth so they could stay behind the protection of the planetary shield.

I think he's referring to there being no lights on the moon.

I remember someone complaining about that in one of the new shows, idk if it was discovery, because of Riker's throw away line in First Contact.

When did they do that? I'm pretty sure we see it inhabited in 'Will you take my hand?" and it's definitely depicted as inhabited in 'Coming Home'.

I mean Chakotay seemed to forget it was inhabited when he was using it as a sign that he was lucid dreaming in 'Waking Moments'. Also it's not depicted as inhabited when the Enterprise D flies past in in 'Conspiracy' and it's again not depicted as inhabited then the Defiant flies past it in the opening scene of 'Past Tense pt 1'. So if you want be mad about Star Trek shows forgetting the moon has cities on it, maybe start back in the 90's.

War college uniform

This one has a proper intro

The Brikar looks almost exactly like in PRO!

The exocomp is Almond Basket :D

Caleb's anti-holo trick is so much better than Georgiou's :D

Are the Betazoids using sign language just to hide their thoughts?

The Trek theme is the trash can tune in universe

Might be the NX-01 and the B there

Alcatraz is still there

Beautiful whales

Is that the species from S31? The one from BEY had more on the face, IIRC.

A robot, or someone without a brain?

Do these pictures show up for other people?
