Spoilers Starfleet Academy General Discussion Thread

Also, even in TOS Gary Seven wasn't all-powerful. The Watchers can only interfere so far in another society like Earth or the Federation and sometimes allow disasters to happen because of the wider temporal ramifications if those tragedies don't.

The TAV from Marvel proved how awful all of that idea is.

I'm assuming you aren't talking about a bald guy who lives on the Moon.

Time travel can be policed without time travel. Forced dismantling of all technology, chroniton dissipators, devices that destabilise space-time anomalies when they form. There are common factors when it comes to time travel you just have to have the detection.

Admittedly such vigilance would be harder after the Burn but given what we hear about the Temporal War it probably was just agreed by everyone that it can't be allowed to happen again so even less reputable powers would still maintain this agreement even in the face of such a catastrophe.

Let's just hope no one wants to fly around the sun really fast for a giggle because that will end in tears.

They had to bring in back. You can't have a final goodbye season to the TNG gang without Data.
TNG already had a goodbye finale, and a film that was goodbye to the Enterprise-D and then a film that was a goodbye to the cast. It had enough goodbyes and shouldn't have stolen a season off another show. It was bad enough it stole ENT's finale. I love TNG but it should have stayed in TNG.

In my head canon Bob Wheeler was Adam's grandfather.

You're right - your idea is really stupid.
Your big and better idea was just a pile of fanwank. Boring.
Well I can certainly tell you have no writing credentials.
@Firebird and @Fateor, I’ll ask you both to dial back the needlessly aggressive tone and personal attacks. We want to give everyone here the space to discuss this stuff like adults and it’s okay for it to get heated from time to time, but we can’t have you go like this for pages. Disagreement is fine, but stop trying to rile the other up. Thank you.

Needless to say, this goes for everyone here as well!

Problem is they did the movies so they needed yet another goodbye then the messed up the second goodbye in Nemesis so they needed one more to finally seal it shut.
