Regardless, he's not working a lot these days, and what he's working on is a bit lower profile than what he used to get. His film peak was probably from the mid 1990s to mid 2000s. The Expanse came much later, of course, and he did great work on that series, but structurally speaking, Miller was always going to be a limited character given the arc of the books.

Honestly, I would totally be down for a slightly reworked version of the TMP uniforms.
TMP uniforms with ENT ship patches on the arms and TOS boots, but with TNG Era commbadges.
It doesn't. Except as I noted, he's a big get for one and done (more of a name actor than most of the SNW cast!), yet it's tempered a bit because at his stage in his career, he might just be hungry for whatever he can get.
Hopefully they make some crack about how McCoy used to fuck around a lot, giving us a fourth possibility.
