Bad Robot has nothing to do with the TV shows. Bad Robot is Abrams's production company, Kurtzman's company is Secret Hideout.
I'd be willing to bet that the rest of what he's saying is as accurate as that. In fact, I wonder how many times these so-called "sources" have already predicted that Kurtzman has been fired.Bad Robot has nothing to do with the TV shows. Bad Robot is Abrams's production company, Kurtzman's company is Secret Hideout.

Is that so?No way Paramount will want to produce new shows and a big budget picture .
Is that so?

Yeah, Paramount has never produced televised and theatrical Star Trek simultaneously before.
The rumors are getting more credible every day. Why would they continue having bad robot making tv shows when they aren't even making the next movie? The writing is on the wall. I truly do not believe Paramount will greenlight yet another show with bad robot
Why?
Facts are overrated. It's Secret Hideout, NOT Bad Robot, who's producing streaming Trek.

The Kurtzman hate is strong. For someone that makes things people don't watch people certainly talk about him a lot.Facts are overrated.
Reminds of all the Braga hate for episodes from before he became a writer or producer.![]()

A good portion of these rumor sites missed the Stargate reboot (no one is going to say anything that will jeopardize their job).
What are you even arguing for at this point?
Warner Brothers is currently still making the Matt Reeves version of Batman alongside James Gunn's DCU production unit. There is historical precedent. But the movies were not reboots. The same team that made the shows were making the movies. No way they will keep kurtzman for the reboot.

Just like Nebraska Cornhusker fans, Trekkies need to make peace with the fact that the 90's heyday is never coming back.I think he has more defenders than Rick Berman did towards the end. Kurtzman has done decent in the job but IMO we Trek fans also have big expectations. We always feel their is someone even better fitted who is going to take Trek to that next level or get it back to it's height in popularity in the mid 1990's.
Will they make money is the important question. If they were not then they would stop.Warner Brothers is currently still making the Matt Reeves version of Batman alongside James Gunn's DCU production unit. There is historical precedent.
You running a betting pool? What's the odds right now? We'll have to wait and see. So far it doesnt look good for kurtzman to keep producing new trek shows after they start with the reboot .
Question: how will your life substantially change once Kurtzman is gone? And why does Trek need to be popular? It's not going to assure better quality. We got freaking Generations, Insurrection and Nemesis, some of the lesser films in the franchise.I think he has more defenders than Rick Berman did towards the end. We always feel their is someone even better fitted who is going to take Trek to that next level or get it back to it's height in popularity in the mid 1990's.
Just like that heyday will never return Trekkies will never accept. It's rose tinted glasses.Just like Nebraska Cornhusker fans, Trekkies need to make peace with the fact that the 90's heyday is never coming back.
It would be funny if the Trek version was also called "Andor" and was about Andorians.
Even when franchises are down like say Star Wars you always have the possibility of a "Andor" still being made within it. I would love to see Trek's someday have it's "Andor." It would be funny if the Trek version was also called "Andor" and was about Andorians.
Since the name Andor was established in Star Trek close to twenty years before it was used in Star Wars, Disney wouldn't be able to fight this hypothetical matter.Disney would not permit it.
