News Exclusive: Scott Bakula Eyeing Star Trek Return In President Archer Series Pitch From ‘Enterprise’ Producer

And truthfully, where else is there to go with Seven's character? She's had quite possibly the most complete character arc in the entirety of the franchise. She's gone from enslaved Borg drone to captain of the Enterprise! Sure, she can still have adventures of the week, but where else can her story go that can top that?

What about a character study?

Here's a woman who wrestling with her own dark, bloodthirsty impulses (Oh, and she's Captain of the Enterprise at the same time).

She'll never completely escape being Borg (it's staring back at her when she looks into her bathroom mirror in the morning).

How does it affect her command? There will always be that side of her.

Captain Seven could have frequent dialogues with Seven the Borg drone from Star Trek: Voyager (much in the same manner that 80's Q appeared in Picard S2).

Seven's Borg side is both her superpower and her worst enemy.

The people discussing it here don’t offend me. The people who make the claims that if the fans are just loud enough, CBS/Paramount will listen to them and produce their pipe dream projects, offend me. Because every fan who thinks these shows are actually going to happen have been duped by people who know they are actively lying to those fans. Or at best, trying to use those fans to their advantage when the reality is that fans have no influence over what the studio does or doesn’t do.

To be fair, they did one time: the write-in campaign saved the original "Star Trek" from cancellation (well, m the first effort, second one failed).
