Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

So they're filming S5 right after filming for S4 just ended. I expected that.
Yep! In fact, met Paul Wesley yesterday here in Philly at a Vampire Diaries con (my daughter has been a fan for years and was so excited I was going with her!) The con schedule had to be changed where his usual panel with Ian Somerhalder was changed to just Ian and Paul did his photo ops, autographs and Q & A as soon as the con started for the day so he could get on a flight in the afternoon to be back for Season 5 shooting.

It would be nice to see Bones again but I think I know who we REALLY want to see. Time for some more Dr. Piper.
My thinking would be that maybe we see Piper by the series finale and some kind of mention that he'll serve aboard until Enterprise drops him off to where he's retiring, getting replaced with McCoy at that point.

I’m really curious to hear, eventually, why M’Benga steps down as Chief Medical Officer, only to be replaced by Piper and then McCoy. It seems a bit unusual that a former CMO would stay on the same ship serving under someone else.

My thinking is that M'Benga decides to further his medical studies after this 5-Year Mission, so he temporarily steps away from CMO duties.

I have in my head this funny thought that Piper comes with Kirk from Farragut, thinking that he's had enough stress with how turbulent things were on Farragut. So he decides that it will be a lot less stressful under Kirk on the Enterprise and he can relax a little...

I liked Dr Boyce more

There's always the option of doing Year One as a feature film.
