Someone had a pretty big family it seems. They said in the episode that they left with their families. Please pay attention to the dialogue more.
It was probably enough people to restart the human race.

I noticed that too. The dialog and direction seemed a bit off at points. Some of the subtle humor didn't land as it should. Not awful but flat. The dialog felt a little forced at times in this episode, as did some of the plot. Wouldn't rate it as *bad*, so... mid, I guess.
I didn't "miss" this. I find this too convenient. You missed a lot of the episode, the monster ship was a clump ship, assembled over hundreds of years by humans using whatever salvage they could find or steal.
And it wasn't magic, it was probably the same type of optical deflector technology as the Hunters used.
The ship was able to destroy planets because it had a giant ass tractor beam.
We've known tractor beams can cause seismic instability in planets since TNG, so it's not much of stretch that a giant overpowered one would be able to rip apart one.
Perhaps that's why they have the wall based intercoms in TOS? I actually don't recall if they've used those in SNW? If not, I guess this is their origin story!I loved how nearly everybody on the cast had something to do, truly a great Ensemble setup.
Also, everything got jammed.
So depending on Wireless everything wasn't a good idea if you don't have shielded hardline backups.
Or "Land Lines". Who knew =D
doesn't mean there still isn't anti-matter in the stores. The same as Edith the fully explodable D7 still being inside, despite the main plot being about the alien ship sucking away energy.
I don't remember them using intercoms in SNW, everything has been wireless to my knowledge or just announced over the PA.Perhaps that's why they have the wall based intercoms in TOS? I actually don't recall if they've used those in SNW? If not, I guess this is their origin story!
Kirk read M'Benga's file though and we all know what happened. So Kirk got Spock on the basis of first time impressions without needing to know anymore. Sounds like Kirk to me.
Honestly, I could skip that aspect. Just picture some dire survival situations that push the crew to go beyond their moral bounds. I don't really need to see that.So they have just been living on that ship, breeding with each other for 200 years? I feel like we are missing some important stuff to this story.
I just wasn’t a fan. Too similar to the Doomsday machine with its planet destroying abilities.
Me either. So this is the intercoms origin story!I don't remember them using intercoms in SNW, everything has been wireless to my knowledge or just announced over the PA.
Dude's dead. How does Captain Garrovick fit in the timeline? I would've liked to have seen that story
Got it!Dude's dead.
He factors in very little.
I mean, it would mean more Kirk so ..that's a no from me.Got it!![]()
Still would've been cool to see the other side of that story. I guess it would've had to have been told very early in SNW's run.
Absolutely! Although, when you're looking for them, they're not that rare in TOS.Spock's line about demoting Kirk felt like one of the rare TOS Spock one liners.
Good point.I mean, it would mean more Kirk so ..that's a no from me.
If the energy was sucked away, you're not storing anti-matter. It's released and interacting with regular matter. In other words, exploding!doesn't mean there still isn't anti-matter in the stores.
