I wasn't really a fan of this episode. I think I can go back to my original statement of this show being like Our Man Bashir, but the ending was too exposition-heavy to feel like the rest of the episode was worth it. Also, the scene with Uhura talking about Star Trek and basically saying everything I've heard at conventions in the past was kind of eye rolling. Yeah, it's a good message, but when you've heard the same thing for 10+ years, to actually see it in an episode of Star Trek felt like a (To borrow a phrase from when I first got to this board when people were talking about TNG) "sledgehammer to the head."
I hope next week we actually do get an episode of Star Trek where they have a mystery to solve, or a nebula to explore, or heck I can take some time travel. Basically, something that doesn't feel as gimmicky as this episode felt.

By the way, if I were to suggest a tribute to Voyager, Pike and his Hair in the holodeck reminded me of Brannon Braga, maybe a little more crazed.
