The Enterprise 1701 has both swept pylons and straight and a Ready Room behind the Bridge and NO Ready Room.
Do you mean that it has pylons like this now!

I’m surprised by how many people interpreted Tendi and T’Lyn’s disagreement as backsliding into a resolved story beat. I thought it was just a natural reaction to being under duress and approaching the problem differently.

My sister is my very best friend and has been for over 40 years. However, we process the world around us in very dissimilar ways. She’s very literal, quantitative and spatially minded. I am very allegorical, qualitative and narratively minded. Put us under a great deal of stress and we can definitely disagree on the best way to fix things and I, as the more expressively emotional one, can unfortunately end up sounding pretty snippy and frustrated. That does not mean we don’t love/like each other, that we think the other is stupid, or that we are in competition with each other. It means we want to save the situation and protect those we love (including each other) but are convinced that, time being of the essence, our own brilliant epiphany should be implemented immediately.

That’s the way I interpreted Tendi and T’Lyn too. If there had been more time they absolutely would have each presented their case, had a very interesting and insightful discussion, and probably amalgamated their ideas into something better than the sum of its parts. They just didn’t have the time and they were under a great deal of pressure.

Narratively, people expect no future conflict after the rid of a story beat. But people are much like you describe.

I wouldn't have liked that, she may not be the pride of the fleet but she gets the job done.
Team Cerritos
#CerritosStrong

I'd have hated if at the very end the message they sent was 'that ship was NOT enough. They needed a new shiny front line ship. '

Star Trek has always been about embracing what makes you Yourself, and bringing the best partso f that to a group. The Cerritos was made to be reconfigured fairly extensively for the sake of getting The Job done. She's not a glamorous girl. She's old. Worn down. Staffed by oddballs, but she is plenty enough for what she gets thrown into.
