Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

Hmm, with filming set to begin in 2025, season 4 should almost certainly air in 2026. I wonder if SNW S4 is doing anything special for the 60th anniversary?
I've mentioned this before, but if....... IF they ended the show at 4 seasons, for whatever stupid reasons, they need to end with Kirk getting the Enterprise for the 60th Anniversary. It would bring the entire franchise full circle.

Ideally, if they must end it at 4 season, they'd run the season during the summer and end the show with a SNW streaming movie for the actual 60th in September.

Though I'd still rather just have more seasons.

It's my default demand that the show needs to go a minimum of six seasons and a movie.

Ray Lai, who designed a lot of the props for DSC and SNW also designed a take on the TOS phaser rifle

I don’t think this is official concept art, I think it’s just something he did on his own time
I like it. It has significant connections to the original prop while still looking like a modernized futuristic weapon.

Looks really cool!

But, I wouldn't want to actually use it with all the workings so close to me. There's a reason why the working part of a gun is out beyond the grip. On the other hand, if this thing blows, I guess that extra distance doesn't really matter - that'll be one big KABOOOM!
