Spoilers The Sandman grade and discussion

At long last, we now know who are playing Delirium, Destiny, and Destruction:

Esmé Creed-Miles as Delirium
Adrian Lester as Destiny
Barry Sloane as "The Prodigal" (which is how Netflix refers to the character in their press release)

You can also watch this brief reveal video posted on Twitter (which shows each of them in costume), but annoyingly Netflix has not posted it on their YouTube channel so I can't embed it here.

I haven't seen any of their works, although I could've sworn I've seen Lester in something but I guess he's one of those actors I just keep missing. Regardless, I just trust Neil's instincts on these casting choices. My only disappointment is The Prodigal isn't a ginger!

Curiously, Variety notes that Stephen Fry returns as Gilbert (and not as Fiddler's Green).
Fiddler's Green only appears twice more, both late in the run of the series. First when the Furies kills him during their reign of terror in the Dreaming in "The Kindly Ones" and again when Daniel attempts to bring him back to life in "The Wake."

Rose Walker also returns but that's less surprising. I wouldn't be surprised if she's woven into "A Game of You."

Adrian Lester is all kinds of awesome. I heartily recommend Hustle if you can get hold of it. Always understands the assignment.

Creed-Miles is Samantha Morton's daughter! I learn something knew every day.

Haven't seen Sloane in anything, unless Call of Duty counts :p

I posted the trailer in this thread awhile back but I've been so busy that I didn't even realized it came out yet. You're welcome to start a fresh thread on it.

More season two casting!

Clive Russell as Odin is inspired casting and I cannot wait to see his take on Odin! Jack Gleeson as Puck is a nice left field choice and I hope he can shake the Joffrey specter with his performance. I haven't watched Pose (I know I need to watch it!) but I've certainly heard about Indya Moore's performance on it, so I'm thrilled she's Wanda. Steve Coogan voicing Barnabas will be a riot for certain!

Hopefully we'll get a season two trailer from Comic Con!

Not Clive Russell's first brush with Gaiman because he was was of course in Neverwhere back in the day!

So Gleeson has un-retired then I see?

Oh, of course! I still haven't watched that series, if only because Gaiman disowned the troubled production. The novel remains my favorite of his (a minority opinion, I know) so some day I might get it a shot.

Although since we're living in a Gaiman renaissance, I keep hoping he'll get another chance to do a series properly...and maybe finally get that sequel he's been teasing for years (The Seven Sisters).

So it would seem. Maybe it's been long enough since the trauma of Game of Thrones. I really hope the best for him because he did not deserve that.

Adrian Lester is (edit: also) one of the best Doctor Whos we never had.
(Edit: Paterson Joseph is one of the other ones. I knew it wasn’t going to happen once he turned up in S1 though.)

Tell that to Colin Baker and Peter Capaldi. ;)
Different times, different times xD (Colin was mates with JNT, and there was a change of showrunner that let us have Capaldi. RTD strikes me as someone who wouldn’t re-use an actor as a Doctor, and in the modern era audiences are more likely to jump over it.)

Indya Moore (Queen & Slim, Pose, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom) plays Wanda, a professional driver and security agent for an exclusive travel firm. Wanda proves herself to be an indispensable guide on an Endless road trip to the waking world.
Sounds like they've combined Wanda and Ruby. Or they've renamed Ruby.

I've been waiting for this shoe to drop for a looooong time. The code of silence around Gaiman's behaviour towards women stretching all the waay back to the early 1990s has been shameful.

According to the IGN article about the casting he's already done some other TV shows, and theater work.
Yikes, that's really disappointing to hear about. It really scary the number of stories like these coming out about people like Gaiman.
