Because Vance agrees with her.Kovich and Vance are acting unnecessarily irrationally, so is Tilly (no legal consequences to what she did? Really?).
It's DISCO. So, yes to all.Haven't seen it. Don't even know if it's available where I am.
- Is a mystery of potentially galactic import established in the first episode?
- Did they budget well for a kinetic action sequence to kick things off with quippy one-liners?
I must know.
Yes and it's glorious. It's DISCO. So, yes to all.
a pity to see the spore drive become yet another abandoned technology when they had a working prototype again last season.
Not that I remember, it's similar to S3 and 4 in tone and styleCould any BBSers who have seen the ep give me a spoiler-free heads up if it contains any gratuitous sex*, horror or violence?
Thank you!
*I know only one ep of DISCO has ever had gratuitous sex in it, but I still thought I'd ask.
Yup, and that's exactly my point. It might be intentional but for me it doesn't work as well.Do you see their names in the opening credits? They aren't there to be "developed". OTOH, look at who's names are in SNW's opening credits. The bridge crews aren't comparable.
I just thought it was lame that Dr. Kovich felt the need to keep it a secret. It really wasn't necessary because it didn't reveal much more. You already knew it was something really dangerous. The reveal about the progenitors and the Romulan doctor doesn't reveal any more than that. Just confirms that the Romulan guy also thought it was very dangerous.Fred = absynth!
I'm disappointed Michael asked Tilly to break the encryption to learn what Kovich was keeping from her. For one, it's reverting to her old habits of snubbing authority. And two, she should already have a blank check from Starfleet and the Federation for saving the Alpha Quadrant from the DMA.
Kovich is behaving like it's a special access only program, and Burnham and crew don't have the clearance to be read in.I just thought it was lame that Dr. Kovich felt the need to keep it a secret. I got that. Just doesn't seem necessary. Wasn't a big deal in terms of enjoying the show. Just a way an attempt to amp up the mysteriousness of it all I guess. "Oh wow, it's a Red Directive <duh duh daa!> and he can't even tell us what it is!"Kovich is behaving like it's a special access only program, and Burnham and crew don't have the clearance to be read in.
"Bridge crew" doesn't have to mean main characters. No real reason to expect it should.Yup, and that's exactly my point. It might be intentional but for me it doesn't work as well.
Definitely a potentially cool storyline! Hopefully they can develop it well.I've wanted a sequel to the Chase since I was a teen so I loved it. Shame it's the final season but it's a fitting storyline for a final season. It doesn't get much more epic or Trekkian than the Progenitors
What would make it necessary?I got that. Just doesn't seem necessary.
