I'll drink Coke or Pepsi interchangeably, but I can't stand the diet versions of either. Truth be told, I rarely drink anything besides the old standard version of either drink. With the exception of when the bring the Retro Pepsi back every spring.
Mexican Coca-Cola has become a problem for me. I'd addicted to the stuff, it's so damn good!

It started when I went to New Zealand and discovered that their Coke did not contain high fructose corn syrup, but rather cane sugar. It was delicious. Coke, as it was meant to be.

Years later, Mexican Coke started becoming available in Canada and to my delight, it's made with Cane sugar!

I keep a constant stockpile in my bar fridge.

I will admit curiosity about the Mexican Coke. I always hear people talking about it, and I have seen the stuff on the shelves at the store I work. Yet, I've never gone for it, despite constantly saying "one of these days..."

But one of these days... ;)

Regular Coke has almost been ruined for me. The Mexican stuff is just so satisfyingly good.

Grew up with diabetic parents, hence drinking diet soda was normal. Actual sugar soda tastes way too sweet to me - like drinking a glass of watered-down maple syrup or something.

It’s not a bad gig, living here…

TBH: I don’t think I’ve had a full sugar Coke in years - mostly I would partake in DC (Diet Coke). Also - I’ve had the mirror hankering for an American Coke (corn-syrup’d) because I only know of Cane-Sugared soft drinks or Diet ones (Aspartame’d, so to speak).

So the concept of a drink flavoured with corn-syrup is quite novel, in these neck o’ the woods…
