Just substitute "Nick" and "Tom" for "Patty" and "Cathy".Like I stated earlier, cousins can look very much alike.

Yes, actually. He wasn't the highest on my list of "minor characters I hoped to find out what happened to them", but he was on it.
If he's on your list then it is reasonable to guess that Shelby is on someone's list.
Shelby was Mack Calhoun's first officer and I will not be accepting questions at this time.
Who's highest and why is it Lady Q?
Ro would not be hard to declare to have survived. Shaw would be problematic, since we saw him die. But there's always AU's to play with.
As for Shelby, they could probably bring her back... but would anyone want them to?
Did you ever see a picture of Tsar Nicholas II and his first cousin King George V? They both looked like their mothers, who were sisters, and they looked very much like each other. If we assume the mothers of Nick and Tom were identical twins, they’d look that much more alike. They would also be within a year or two apart in age, so they would have been at the Academy together.
That's ok, because I do not know what you are talking about.Shelby was Mack Calhoun's first officer and I will not be accepting questions at this time.

Ah.New Frontier novels.
My first ever post - be gentle
I gave the episode a 9, I really enjoyed it. Nice to get some backstory to Mariner, gives our annoying but loveable rogue some context. And so good to see Freeman thinking a few steps ahead for a change.
I really like the callback to the series' namesake TNG episode, the whole situation with Sito Jaxa always resonated with me. And how the muddied narrative made her fate uncertain. Did Joret betray her? Or was her exfil merely compromised?
Is it conceivable she is alive? Perhaps, could have been beamed out of the escape pod before it was destroyed. But I think that would lessen the original TNG episode somewhat. I suppose I'm just worried they'll bring Sito back as a "quick fix" for Mariner's issues, I think that would be a mistake. Let her address and work through her issues like the rest of us do.
I'm really interested to see where this goes!
Yes and Yes. It's my favorite Trek novel series.Ah.
I'm still working through Old Frontier novels.
Wasn't that series the one with Exalibur? And a Brikar from the Starfleet Academy books?
Interestingly, the only leads in 24th century shows that were never duplicated were all the ones created for DS9. (O'Brien was duplicated, but he originated on TNG... same as Worf.)

And most of the crew in Chikdren of TimeWasn't Bashir replaced by a changeling for a number of episodes?

In fact didn't they say they could swear if they wanted too, nobody was stopping it, but that it was way funnier to bleep everything out.bleeping makes it funnier
