That's the part that was never clear Sarek says " You must bring them to Mount Seleya, ...on Vulcan. Only there can both find peace." I guess by "them", Sarek means McCoy, Spock's Katra and Spock's corpse.

McCoy was insane.

Spock was mindless.

That's two.

Where do you think all the ideas you approve of came from? People in the past developed them.
And people in the present are still burning other people alive in the present day. Humanity…has issues.

I thought we were referencing how neurotic and over-medicated modern Western society has become.

Humans are over-medicated and have become more neurotic than ever before. But I don't think the solution is pumping more drugs into people, which seems to be the go-to solution.

Depends on the practitioner. Especially with research out there showing talk therapy is as efficacious as medications and talk therapy and more effective than medications alone.

It will take time but I already see some adjustments.

I've always been confused as to why they needed to go to Genesis in the first place, To bring Spock's corpse to Vulcan? Did they really need the body to free his Katra? No one was expecting a living body when they got there.

Part of the issue is they reorganized the movie in editing, originally it opened with the Grissom. Then later Kirk's Log talks about finding out the tube had soft landed.

But even in this version they still decide to go to Genesis for the corpse.

I live the show, but this us the first episode I'm skipping. I'm just so tired of T'Pring. We already know the relationship fails, so how can I care? The character being so unlikable doesn't help.
She is? I mean eventually. But right now, she's kind of charming. And this T'Pring genuinely cares for the guy. So, clearly, some shit goes down and I'm totally here for it. (I vote for Sybok shenanigans!)

T'Pring here is only a fraction as scheming and conniving a bride-to-be as she will be in TOS. By 2267 she's full-blown Machiavellian.

There's a decade until it fails utterly.

So they get back together before then, and then it falls apart again... How many times?

I'm watching Friends, and right now, half way through season 4, and I think that Chandler's soulmate is Janis, and that they are definitely going to get together after the conclusion of the series no matter how many children he has with Monica.

A movie came out last year about "Rosaline" the romantic lead in Romeo and Juliet, from before Romeo met Juliet.

Since Strange New Worlds has apparently reinvented itself to be a comedy show, I'm slightly less bothered by the idea of an upcoming crossover with Lower Decks.

I'd also love to see an episode where Pike's cooking goes horribly awry and leaves everyone except for Pelia stricken with debilitating Klingon diarrhea, leading to a madcap episode where the Lanthanite must single-handedly save the day.
