I've not seen the season yet but from the screenshots -- and spoilers -- I've seen, I definitely want to watch it. I'll probably just buy the BluRay when it comes out.

I do find it off-putting that they chose the Titan for 1701-G. Not because I don't like the design, but because the F and D are both extant and operational, and even better designs. I'd have wanted to see more of the F after this -- in fact, since Picard and Discovery are both on their last season, they could do a spinoff with the F.

I mean, the F's been in STO for a while but it just made its canon debut and we saw it for a minute, only for it to be taken away from us. :(

NO....

Screw the boring 32 century. SNW is decent enough. But the future lies in continuing Trek where lt left off after Berman Trek. Not some BS from Discovery.

Yup. The 32nd century is boring. Too bad we have to go through a academy series set I'm that time frame. It will be like watching WB star trek. I'm sure there will be lots of tears. Lol

Remember when everyone hated Bermaga? No? Oh ok me either I guess.

A 25th century show that canonizes some aspects of Star Trek online would be OK. An exploration of 25th century Klingon relations would be nice and could involve Martok, Alexander and such. A deeper dive into 25th century Cardassian relations would be good as well as post collapse Romulan stuff beyond the Zhat Vash

I think a lot of the folks who are annoyed with the 1701-G would have been more accepting if it was a new-build Constitution III class.
I wouldn’t. I just don’t get the idea of “Neo-Constitution Class” in a show that is supposed to be a loving send off to The Next Generation. Neo-Galaxy, now that would work.

I would just want it to have some good stories and not worry about putting anything into it to canonize anything else. But I do like what you have here.

I would never have decommissioned or destroyed the 1701-F in the first place but if we have to have a 1701-G of this class at least it's smaller and that's a refreshing change of pace from the past 200 years of Starfleet history when it comes to new Enterprises.

Prodigy - For Kids
Lower Decks - For Comedy
Academy - For tweens/teens
Discovery - (Honestly I don't know who this is for)
Picard - Adult drama for Berman era ST fans
SNW - For Classic ST fans

Can we get a show for people that don't like nostalgia and memberberries?

DSC. You’ve answered your own question. Remembering Star Trek past can actively harm your enjoyment of DSC, from a certain point of view.

Picard should have contacted the Klingons for help. They wouldn’t have been affected.
The whole 'we are the only ship left in the fleet' is utter crap. What is the size of the UFP again? Trillions of beings and all the Starfleet ships are what was shown on screen to defend a thousands of light year empire. Please!:shifty:

I'm not sure what you mean. Discovery was constantly member-berrying.

I'm asking for a show that doesn't do that. Or at least on very limited basis.

When it comes down to it, I think all of the arguments about narrative will take a back seat to ratings/subscriptions and engagement.

If Picard season 3 is seen as a “success,” and so far it seems to be both critically and popularly from what metrics we can judge, then the powers that be will probably do more of it. And been successful with critics and fans in ways that Discovery wasn’t.

One thing of note, while they haven’t green-lighted anything yet, no one from Paramount has leaked a story saying a Legacy series is unlikely. They’ve allowed Matalas to hype up the possibility and haven’t done anything to quell fan reaction.
