Fair enough The Klingon’s in Discovery are totally blank to me when I watch it and it’s tedious to me in the sense of that for me it’s like the emotional range of the crystalline entity But that could just be a me thing because I also prefer most of the crew to be human but can get why my friends do not. They do certainly look more alien! And I totally get your point

I personally really enjoyed S1 and S2 - despite their problems. Both had similar issues - they started gloriously, seemed to lose steam quite quickly, then kinda get lost in a bit of a plot jumble to a total fudge of a conclusion). Enjoyable, but flawed.
What I think S3 has achieved so far is a.) breaking away from the "lose steam" segment and b.) made something universal. All Star Trek fans can enjoy this season - its more mainstream Trek, but retaining a certain level of what S1 and S2 brought to the table. Pacing is the main thing - they've done a great job of offering something each episode to keep us engaged, rather than the mid-season wheel spinning of S1 and S2. Whether or not it escapes the "get lost in the plot jumble to a total fudge of a conclusion" phase remains to be seen - though from indication so far, even if it is a bit of a mess I have a feeling it will be a fun mess as the very least..

Taking names now.... love it when a story unfolds and being open-minded to something different. Kudos to the Star Trek team now, for giving the past a slight visit and looking forward to the future, the time to create and move to the "next generation" is now.
I don't think it has, it's a lot like S2 for me. But where S2 abandoned Q's interesting dark future for a boring trip to slightly future L.A, S3's stayed with the Titan for the most part which I feel has really worked much better. Otherwise I feel like it's made a lot of the same mistakes with wanting to have a big overarching plot but then spending most of the time just meandering about. Nothing as bad as spending almost an entire episode in some basement getting the backstory of some rando FBI agent, but I felt the entire nebula plot want on about an episode and a half too long for instance.
It's also got a very kitchen sink approach to the big mystery that's not really fun. Where S2 had Q! The Borg! Augments! The Supervisors! S3 has Picard's Secret Son! Changelings! The Borg! Data! and I think it has the bandwidth for maybe two of those things. I think it does better by having them be things that I care about more. I'm a lot more interested in Vadic and her rogue changelings for instance than I am with the Supervisors. But having to quickly move on to the Borg for the finale hasn't been great. Killing off the person who's been your main antagonist for most of the season two episodes before it wraps up just makes me feel meh about the whole thing, which is about how I felt about the story of S2.
I'm having a more fun time with the characters though, and I think that's down to keeping the core cast largely together instead of splitting everyone off into pairs and having their own side adventures like S2 did. So an improvement, but not a great one. For me though none have been so bad that I'm not interested in watching them. I think they have a lot of the same flaws though, and I think my interest would wane quickly if we were to get another season like these two, but fortunately the show's ending here.

Agreed (even if I preferred S2), but that was as much a product of COVID protocols as writing (S3 also dealt with COVID protocols but they weren’t as restrictive, IIRC).
If you compare just the first nine episodes from seasons 1, 2, and 3... overwhelmingly yes.
Could it fall off the cliff in the finale? Jury is still out. But I haven't been this excited for a show to drop new episodes in over a decade. The episodes are imminently re-watchable. The character work alone exceeds GEN, INS, and NEM. Quality wise, I'd rate this season so far with ENT season 4. With a strong closing, it could rank with DS9 season 7.

By that logic, Transformers movies are cinematic masterpieces.
Popularity is very often a measure of success, but its relationship with quality is…far less certain.
Star Trek should hire the guy who did the Transformers movies.

Transformers was a fantastic movie that showcased how to update a beloved franchise without pissng off the core base. DSC in my opinion failed to do that.
