My apologies - lost track of what was being argued.
I was talking about the borg queen from season 2 ,not the borg queen we just saw in this episode.
I knew that approach would be cited, but it doesn't work as well here. Sorry.
It's closer to Cobra Kai which was frustrating in it's running in circles until Johnny and Daniel have a coming to Jesus moment. So, yeah, they drag out their big assemble moment and it feels like a misdirect.
As I said it might work better on rewatch.

Indeed, was Shelby a tad arrogant? Yes. Was she career driven? Absolutely? Were those traits that Riker himself pointed out he used to have? Yup that too. She wasn't a villain, she was a young upstart designed to rock the boat and remind Riker of the man he used to be and to give him a number one with a bit of edge rather than Data who'd likely just agree with everything he said.
Always comes back to the Borg. That's when it feels a tiny bit lazy.
But you can't really put the Borg on the pedestal of "greatest threat the Federation faces" and not mean it, so I'm ok with it.

And? I guess I should mock others for celebrating the reunion on the Bridge since those are not real people and the emotional moments people are experiencing are ridiculous since they're not real.

Not an apt comparison since I'm not "mocking" someone's reaction to enjoying the death of a fictional character. Is it okay to celebrate Vadic's death?
We haven't seen some of these characters (like Geordi, Beverly, Worf, etc.) in over 2 decades, and others (like Riker and Troi) we've only seen small fragments of their lives. They needed to reintroduce those characters and have some backstory on what they've gone through over that time, how they're different, what that means for Picard and them as friends and family. You couldn't just throw them together on the bridge of the Enterprise-D in episode 3 without giving some foundation on which these moments feel earned.

The Borg altered Locutus’ DNA so he could produce offspring that would become Vox. Then Locutus was taken from them and became Picard again. Picard didn’t produce offspring for over a decade. And the Borg… just waited?
Since they had lost control of Locutus, why not just start over with somebody who was still under their control? What was so unique about Picard/Locutus that they couldn’t just do the same thing with somebody else?

Yesterday I was complaining about several massive technical errors.
Today I will praise the fact the Geordi stated they couldn't find Borg organic technology 35 years ago, demonstrating an advancement in this area.
I also find this explanation completely sensible.

Did I say otherwise? My point was it could have been done sooner and would have had a more positive impact, rather than feeling like a dangling a thread and then "Boom! here's your big team up moments."
As I said, this my initial reaction and may be inaccurate. But right now it is not working for me. Mileage will vary!
You can make your point without resorting to insulting the poster you're responding to.
I thought the same, in that it parallels current medical technology.
The Collective may not have known this was going to happen until he was born.
So, there's no reason someone isn't "allowed" to have any emotional reaction they wish to any of these fictional characters. If they want to be happy at good things happening to characters, great. If they want to celebrate bad things happening to them, I don't see how that's despicable.
Yes! I always viewed it as here's this person who's on the same team but has a totally different perspective on how to accomplish what they wanted to and it was good to see the "conflict" play out. She wasn't really wrong about anything! But neither was Riker if you look at it from his perspective...
