I would love it… if it weren’t set int the 32nd Century. I’m one of the faction who would love to see an end to that period in Trek once this last season of Discovery is over. I watch Discovery because it is Trek, but I don’t enjoy it. The only season I truly enjoyed was Season 2. I enjoyed the stuff with Pike and Spock. I LOVE Strange New Worlds. The cause of the burn was awful. Season 4 was all over the place terrible.

This is a different show though, don't pre-judge it based off Discovery.

Personally I wish they'd done a series rereboot version of the academy scenes from the 2009 movie, showing Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Uhura and the rest as cadets and continuing that vibe of barely controlled chaos.

But I'll take what I can get.

I've always been fascinated by future Earth. We've seen it mostly in Star Trek Into Darkness and Picard's first season. I'd love to see more of how people live day to day in the Trekverse. What's a night out in 32nd century San Francisco like?

They've been proposing this for decades and finally set it up in Disco S4 so I'm not super surprised by the announcement. Glad that more live-action Trek is coming, even if this isn't my preferred type of series.

It's the bankrupt idea they've fallen back on everytime it looked like the TOS cast weren't going to do another movie, everytime the creatives couldn't think of a format for the next show, everytime...bleah !

Having said that, setting it in the 32nd with the re-establishment of the Federation and Starfleet, plus Tilly and the opportunity to have some Disco guests...

Yeah, go on then, get it out of your systems !
