I did not like this episode very much.
It was way too much of a forced TNG reunion, contrary to the beginning of the season it didn't feel natural at all with everyone appearing all at once.
Second, at this point I'm really allergic to Easter eggs. Seven's monologue I loved. Everything else was just fanwank for me.
Third, the conspiracy plot starts to wear thin. The more all of Starfleet unquestionable follows these obviously evil orders, the more unrealistic everything feels. Not a fan of the "abandoned evil technology vault". That's comicbookb logic, not sci-fi.
But alas, one episode doesn't sour me on an otherwise fairly watchable season. This episode moved a lot of chess pieces. I'm really interested in where it goes.
My opinion of S3 in general will probably come down to if I like the conclusion of the main arc. Until then, it did what the previous seasons already failed at - it was quite watchable the whole way. I hope the next episodes will be more their own story, instead of everything being callbacks to previous ones.
