What make Jean-Luc Picard body considered a Nuke tech by the Changeling? Is it because Jack's ability to detect Changeling? They want to study the body and understand the flaw in their shapeshifting ability? And if they want to steal a retired admiral body, then why do they even bothered to use terrorism? But, if they have already have possessed Jeanluc body, why they still need Jack? To clear their trace entirely so their seat in Federation is saved?

I start to think that these Changeling actually have won a shadow war against the Federation. They have ruled the Federation from behind the curtain. The problem is Jack develop an ability to detect them. So they think that Jack is a danger of their existence, thus want to eliminate Jack with whatever they have. Jean-luc Picard's body is only a side way to study the source of Jack's supranatural power. But Jean-Luc body is not their ultimate target. Their target is Jack, just because Jack can detect them,

I think Picard season 3 is basically Jean-Luc Picard, a retired Admiral, jump into the biggest conspiracy in Federation politic without knowing, just because a personal distress call from his ex-lover. And I think that Section 31 is basically so weak to an extend that they don't even have the power to protect their spies from conducting a counter intelligence action against the enemy of Federation.

With Ro Loren's investigation material, Section 31 should have already have a strong evident of a threat inside Starfleet. They should already have muster their power and influence to conduct a counter intelligent actions to protect Federation from Changeling threat. The failure of Ro Loren to gather support means that Section 31 don't act as an organization. Or Section 31 is already compromised.

Funny that Kirk literally appears as Bones. :D

Didn't someone say they saw the more clear screen grab and it was "Android Body" or something like that?

From what I can read, since it's still blurry on Kirks panel..

"Starfleet officer James Tiberius Kirk (Serial number) was Captain of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 on its historic five year (blurry) in 2265-2293 (?)". It goes on to discuss what I assume are various accolades. The last sentence looks like it discusses the events in Generations, assisting Captain Jean Luc Picard on Veridian III, his body was (something) by Project Phoenix.

Project Phoenix, tbh, sounds like a program to revive dead starfleet officers in synthetic bodies.

I could easily see this being how they manage to bring a de-aged Shatner-Kirk back and Denise Crosby as Tasha Yar
Here's the important part: He was "officially injured", not killed (then body recovered by phoenix...)

My least favorite episode in an otherwise very good season. I thought all of the Easter eggs/memberberries brought it down a bit. The episode concocted bizarre logic in order to justify them. I thought the Professor Moriarty appearance was very odd -- especially using flashbacks of Encounter at Farpoint to establish how to get by him. If the show wants to include some flashbacks to older episodes in the franchise, I think there were other parts the season where that could've been far more effective (the Wolf 359 speech), but, here I don't think it worked. Why do I need to be shown clips from a 35+ year old episode for this short few seconds? It added nothing to the moment.
obviously for those who haven't seen farpoint or don't remember it well

Now I'm just imagining that he's Voldemort from the first Harry Potter film!
He's the snow cone in Phoenix!

Is there a reason why Daystrom which is focused on researching technology would have human remains or why Picard didn't take an interest in what happened to his own human remains?

S31 probably took them without him knowing.

Keep watching to find out.

Dave Blass said there was an unused Rick Sternbach design in this season, I wonder if he meant the Cloaking Device. While it did appear in that book, it's possible he meant in the show. I'll have to ask.

Perfect. I now consider this canon. :rommie:

My guess is the SNW ship will look a lot closer to the TOS version by the end of that series' run. Maybe just like the New Jersey, at least externally. But who knows, both looks are now referenced in Kurtzman Era productions as being official.

And even if they don't show it on screen, one can assume that it got a refit at some point after Pike handed it off to Kirk, and the actual refit occurred off screen. Kind of like ST:TMP. ;)

I'm just chalking it all up to time travel shenanigans. Somewhere out there someone's having whacky adventures, and changes something so one week the Connies look like SNW, other times TOS.

Fan service was great. The Seven Voyager/home monologue was great. The LaForge Family was great. Jack had some nice development. Sidney was fantastic. Budding romance there.

The heist part did not land for me. Putting an unstable AI in charge of defense makes no sense. But whatever. And they seemed to stroll through it. But the fan service stuff made up for it.

My pick of Riker being the one to bite the dust (of main cast) is looking good.

Data (LoreB4LalSoong), and Kirk returns push a 7-8 to a 9.

Picard's body has to be a Borg thing, yes? Are they gonna try to haveca Changleling turn into Picard & infiltrate/join the Borg as Locutus? Agnes to the rescue?
I'd prefer Agnes never come to the rescue, ever. My favorite part of this season is Shaw alluding to the REAL Borg which I hope eventually restores all the previous plot mistakes that shows have made.

Gawd, this season has been solid and last week was particularly good, but this was fanwank overload. I really hope they get back on track after getting that out of the way.

Fair point, but Spock's consciousness was held by McCoy, a trusted friend/Starfleet officer who could vouch for him. Further, Spock's consciousness wasn't placed in an artificial body that minutes before had been outlawed in the Federation, and further, came from a group that was planning to wipe out the galaxy.
What difference does that make?

For the complaints about the lack of urgency (and I’d say it’s partly deserved), there is a mitigating factor not always present—simultaneity. While we, as viewers, cut back and forth from the museum to the station, much of what happens at each place overlaps, thus making things appear slower than they are. Only a partial mitigation but worth noting.
