We saw like 6 of them in season 2. It will only just be over 30 years old by this time.Sovereign class ships are likely obsolete during PICARD's time. That class is almost 30 years old.

The Titan was already more advanced during NEM's time. Now it's the nuTitan 2.5, so it would definitely outclass a Sovereign.Sovereign class ships are likely obsolete during PICARD's time. That class is almost 30 years old.
The issue, however, is that Terry Matalas, show-runner for Picard, has stated that Vadic has a specific vendetta against Picard and the Federation, so there must be a hidden mysterious link there somewhere. Matalas also revealed that Vadic's motivations are rooted in ‘sympathetic reasons,’ and that when audiences learn of what motivates her actions they will likely feel she has a point. -- https://gamerant.com/star-trek-picard-who-is-captain-vadic/
So what has the Fed done to get the changelings so angered? And whatever it is, Odo seems to be cool with it as he's stated as not joining Vadic's faction obviously. And I find it hard to believe anything in TNG that Picard specifically did affected changelings directly.
I’m sure the Soveriegn’s would have been refitted as well. The Titan was already more advanced during NEM's time. Now it's the nuTitan 2.5, so it would definitely outclass a Sovereign.
Agreed. I still use a lot of old phrases with my teen and child clients which is fun with them. My personal favorite, and one I used this week, was this old song:Being the phrase guy that I am, it's been sort of my duty to explain older phrases. In turn, she informs me of some of the new lingo that is circulating in internetland.
Honestly, I am a bit stuck in the past because a lot of the newer catchphrases and phrases just make no sense.
As a counterpoint however, in “Broken Link” when Odo is made human and Bashir is scanning him, he is stunned to be reading a heart, lungs, etc. I think even within DS9 there was conflicting information on what changelings could actually do.I would have been fine if that was what the episode actually said.
But, once again(!), it's not. Riker said "changelings couldn't duplicate internal physiology." Referring to PAST events. Which is wrong and not consistent at all with established canon.
Allow me to quote from DS9:
EDDINGTON
I wish the internal sensors were on-
line. It'd make it a lot easier to
track down the changeling.
ODO
I'm not sure sensors would help. If
you scan me when I'm a rock, you'd
detect a rock. I may not be able to
duplicate a humanoid perfectly, but
I'm guessing he can.
BASHIR
(confirming)
When we scanned "Ambassador Krajensky"
for tetryon particles, he registered
as human.
KIRA
Then right now the changeling could
be anything or anyone on this ship.

Sure but that doesn't mean they're actually creating organs.Changelings in disguise scan as the thing they're imitating. Full stop.
Sure but that doesn't mean they're actually creating organs.
Please stop.
That's rather unnecessary, come on.
If anything Odo's appearance throughout all of DS9 showed that to be the case; that yes Changelings did need to practice the forms that they wanted to mimic. So, you're saying Changeling's need practice to change?
I think we have to distinguish here.
A changeling can imitate on sight.
Doesn’t mean they have an exact knowledge of that person’s inside.
Odo never knew what the inside of a person looks like, let alone in a molecular level.
So he never imitated that.
more experienced changelings, especially as part of the great link would have vast knowledge of general anatomies and inner workings of things.
Now, Odo was able to mimicking rocks and rigid things probably better than living organisms on a molecular level.
Where all you need to know is the atomic structure and you’re good.
But imitating organs and individual cells which are in turn made up of very complex interacting protein and amino acid machineries is getting tricky.
Eventually a Changeling’s ability to mimicking the very specific and nano scale will reach it’s limits and I feel that’s where you have to scan to catch them.
Obviously that is harder to do and may even be impractical for magical tricorders.
