The way Jack somehow knew the crewmembers were changelings and was able to suddenly go john wick and kill them all, makes me wonder if Jack is some sort of anti-changeling weapon. It might explain why the changelings are trying to get him since they know he is a threat that is capable of stopping them.
That would reconcile why the Titan changeling was ok with outright killing Jack, yet Vadic's boss, who presumably has long term goals in mind, wanted him alive (presumably to study how Jack can detect changelings).

Section 31's doing? But why would Section 31 choose the son of Picard and Crusher of all people for their changeling geonocide 2.0 project?

Yes, but I'm surprised they didn't make her Eddington, or at least some equivalent. So I'm assuming they either tried and she didn't even want a guest spot or that Moore/Behr/Berman/whomever didn't want her at all.

Given that she appeared in BSG, I assume it was nothing personal between her and Moore at least.
Now I can't say if she had any issue with TNG's production, but there is a very good reason why she wouldn't have been considered for the Eddington role. They needed someone who could do multiple episodes. For the years in question she was rather busy. She did several films and had a series role on Homicide. That filmed on the east coast, and would have made it difficult to do another show that was shot on the West Coast without a significant work in getting clearance from Homicide's production offices.

But thee reality is Trek's casting offices wouldn't want to ask her for a recurring role. With TNG it was hard enough getting her for the episodes she worked because she wasn't a contract player (meaning they had first call on her being available). But DS9 was starting to work with far more serialized stories, and never had enough scripts int eh can to give a significant amount of notice to talent attached to other projects. Certainly by the time she got the Homicide gig in 96, that would kill almost any possibility even for a limited guest appearance. As you would need to know when she had a light work load in advance, and again I m sure neither production add scripts done that far in advance.

I suspect there's more to it than that. Michelle hasn't had a main tv role since 2019's Treadstone, just recurring ones from her wikipedia page. Yet per Star Trek: Picard's Ro Laren cameo explained: The idea of doing a paranoia thriller | EW.com

When asked if it was a fairly easy process to get Forbes back for Star Trek: Picard, Matalas went silent. "Is there another question?" the showrunner asks, laughing.

it sounds like it was hard to get her even now just for a one shot appearance.

Probably why they killed her off. To assure her it would be a "one and done."

Still can’t get over how menacingly evil the Intrepid looked as it turned to face the Titan with one nacelle on fire. Brilliant VFX work.

I wish they would’ve had time for more Riker/Ro interactions considering their history together.

If it was extremely difficult to get Forbes back, I hope she’s proud of her decision to come back for this. It was worth it and both her and Matalas did it justice.

Did anyone think Shaw seemed way too pleased that Riker and Picard got caught? He seemed positively giddy when he announced that he called Starfleet on them. And also the way he asked Seven if she wanted to be reinstated or not before she got arrested. Shaw seemed to be really having fun.

You can't blame him for being "chipper." He already doesn't like them and now they're about to get in trouble for essentially hijacking his ship and putting him through hell.

Well, duh

In his head, he was probably telling himself he was sticking it to Locutus....

I thought it was perfectly understandable. Picard and Riker hijacked his ship and almost got it destroyed and his crew killed several times over the course of, like, four days.

I'd be pissed if I were him.

Is it still on P+ UK? It was on before and now it has been removed again for me...I downloaded it elsewhere so fortunately my gym cardio wasn't ruined.

This is what I broke it down to today.

Firstly what is Jack's secret with the red eye and red door, is this something that can aid the Changelings or something that is a threat to them? Either way they seem to want it, once we understand what this secret is I think it will go a long way to unravelling why they want him.

The only thing that seemed similar was control and the Arium in DIS season 2. I wondered if this is some version of control that is linked to Picard and being Borg given the heavy references this season and is something The Changelings created eons ago to wipe out all solids but is now intent on wiping out all organic life and they are trying to undo what they first set into motion, turning out that they are not that bad after all and will be the saviours of all. That could be an interesting twist, but wouldn't explain why they just wouldn't ask for help.

I am not in the camp that this could be a Pah-Wraith possession as this doesn't line up with Picard's history. There just seems to be a lot of clues around the colour red, red eyes, red door, red vines, the statue of the red lady.

What do all these red clues mean???
