If there is, I've never found one. Like I tried to like wine, but it tastes like putrescent juice (which I guess is what it is?). Best I've had is when the vodka is tasteless and not mediciney.

Not sure he truly gave up. But he did want to get to know his son. And of course the team got it together and solved the problem.
Well, Voyager had the same thing for it's holodeck. And they also had an emergency holo-Doc. Someone pointed out that might be why. Don't wanna loose your holo-Doc in an emergency.
Which Captain? Shaw or Riker? Riker took some time to leave a message for his wife. Seems like some privacy would be in order. Shaw was wounded and on meds.
Checks opening credits. Crosschecks with the Paramount+ menu. Yep, the show is called "Picard", so yeah he gets to have a hero moment. No clue what being a synth or elderly has to do with it. Why should I or any other viewer not "accept it"?

Pretty sure its been stated as the minimum age for entrance. However, he could have been an enlisted crewman who later went on to become an officer. Enlisted don't undergo the full four years at the academy as mentioned in 'The Drumhead'

Yup. It's good star trek. We got the LCARS, a starleet vessel, the tng crew and great villains. Matalas has done a good job so far.
